The Bachelorette season 20 episode 1 ended with Charity eliminating six men at the rose ceremony, while keeping 19 of them to move on to the next week with her. Charity, a 27-year-old child and family therapist from Columbus, Georgia, had a wonderful first night with the men. She’s already made some strong connections. Unlike other The Bachelorette and The Bachelor seasons, she didn’t feel the need to ask anyone to leave before the rose ceremony. Instead, everyone made it through the night, getting a chance to win her heart.
One of the highlights of The Bachelorette season 20 premiere was when Charity’s older brother, Nehemiah, disguised himself as the bartender. He did that in order to spy on the men throughout the night. He was able to give Charity some insight into what her suitors said and did when she wasn’t in the room. Although she listened to her brother’s advice, Charity ultimately made her own decisions about who she sent home.
Charity Lawson Sends Home Six Men On The Bachelorette Season 20 Night One
Charity began the rose ceremony by thanking the men for an incredible night, which blew her away. She said that she had to make some difficult decisions, but added that she was truly following her gut and heart. Charity hoped that the guys could respect that. In the end, Charity sent home Chris Spell, Joe Menzia, Khalid Hassan, Nic Barber, Peter Cappio, and Taylor Pegg.
Charity Lawson Already Has Strong Connections With Some Bachelorette Season 20 Men
On The Bachelorette season 20 premiere night, Charity formed some real connections with a few of the men. Brayden Bowers received her first impression rose after they shared a kiss, which he unknowingly bragged about to Charity’s brother, Nehemiah. Although Nehemiah saw this as a possible red flag, Charity was thrilled that Brayden was so excited about her.
During the rose ceremony, Charity’s call-out order reflected some of the connections she made, especially with the first few men who received roses. She gave Aaron Bryant the first rose, followed by John Buresh and Xavier Bonner, all of whom she’d kissed throughout the night. The next man to receive a rose was Joey Graziadei, another guy that she had a strong connection with. She then gave roses to Caleb Balgaard, Warwick Reider, Aaron Schwartzman, and Caleb Arthur. They were followed by Adrian Hassan, James Pierce, Sean McLaughlin, Michael Barbour, and Tanner Courtad. Finally, Dotun Olubeko, Kaleb Kim, John Henry Spurlock, Josh Young, and Spencer Storbeck received their roses.
Charity’s first night as the Bachelorette went very smoothly. There was really no drama, which allowed her to get to know some of the men on a deeper level. Although she didn’t have the opportunity to speak to all of the men, she kept some around who made great first impressions on her during their limo entrances. Charity was the perfect choice for the Bachelorette because she has a good head on her shoulders. She is sure to make the best decisions for herself as she moves forward on her journey to find her happily ever after.
The Bachelorette airs Mondays at 9 p.m. EDT on ABC.
