Andy Cohen is opening up about The Real Housewives of New York City Season 14 reboot and talking about his confidence level in convincing Jenna Lyons to return to the Season 15 cast.
A year ago at BravoCon, Cohen announced the new cast of RHONY and with the show’s Season 14 wrapped, it’s time to reflect on the reality series about what worked and didn’t.
“I think it all worked,” Cohen told Deadline during BravoCon 2023 in Las Vegas. “It’s so hard to launch a new show with six new women and I think we did it. I think we did a great job.”
Cohen continued, “What I’m most excited about is that there’s so much momentum going into another season of the show, and they’re all a real cohesive group and we have something that you can’t make up and I’m really excited about it.”
During an appearance on Cohen’s late-night show Watch What Happens Live, Jenna Lyons hinted that she might not be down to return for a second season. As preparations for a new season start up, Cohen talked about the prospect of having Lyons return.
“I am confident that I want her to return and I hope she does,” Cohen added.
Cohen previously made headlines finally addressing Bethenny Frankel’s “reality reckoning” during the “Ask Andy” panel at BravoCon.
“My thoughts are that Bravo, as we all can see, Bravo and the shows that are on Bravo bring millions of people so much joy, so much happiness, which is why we’re all here to have fun,” Cohen said. “And what I think is I live in the joy that the shows bring people. And I think we all do. That’s the place that I’m at.”
