Kyle Richards & Mauricio to Divorce, Details Revealed

Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky have reportedly separated.

Following 27 years of marriage, three children, and a slew of divorce rumors, an insider has revealed that the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, 54, and her realtor spouse, 53, who began starring in his own Netflix series, Buying Beverly Hills, last year, have split but are continuing to live together.

“Kyle and Mauricio have been separated for a while now but are still living under the same roof. They remain amicable as they figure out what’s next for them and their family,” a source told PEOPLE on July 3.

Kyle and Mauricio, who have been featured on RHOBH since 2010, met and got engaged in 1994, wed in January 1996, and share three children, including Alexia Umansky, 27, Sophia Umansky, 23 and Portia, 15. Meanwhile, Kyle was previously married to Guraish Aldjufrie, the father of her oldest daughter, Farrah Aldjufrie, 34.

In November 2021, Kyle and Mauricio discussed their 25-year wedding milestone.

“It means so much, and it’s something that we’re both incredibly proud of,” Kyle told Bravo Insider. “And for me, it’s one of my biggest accomplishments. I mean, I think it’s refreshing, in this town to be married 25 years is a really big deal [laughs]. And we’re really proud to be good role models to our daughters.”

“This means a lot,” Mauricio added. “You know, to be quite honest, it feels easy and doesn’t feel like it’s been that long. So it’s been great and beautiful. And, you know, I definitely intend to spend the rest of my life with her. So hopefully it’ll be at least another 25 years, and maybe another 50.”

Just months ago, while appearing on Teddi Mellencamp and Tamra Judge‘s podcast in April, Mauricio not only denied his and Kyle’s allegedly impending divorce, but confirmed the two of them would be addressing the false reports on the upcoming season of RHOBH.

“We’re not getting divorced. It kinda sucks. I mean, it’s so dumb,” Mauricio complained of the buzz. “We addressed it. It was addressed by the girls. They brought it up to Kyle, which is kinda b-tchy and super mean because particularly the girls, they know what’s going on, and they know exactly what it’s all about. They’ve all had a photograph like that taken. They know that story is BS and for them to bring it on and make it more real, bring it to the show … make it more relevant, particularly when they know it’s not relevant, just kinda sucks.”

He also said, in regard to photos of Kyle without her wedding ring, “I don’t expect [Kyle] to wear her ring next time she’s [working out] coming from the yoga lesson.”

And, weeks later, while chatting with Page Six, Kyle explained why she doesn’t always wear her ring.

“A, I haven’t been wearing my big diamond ring, because there’s a lot of crime these days and I’m like, ‘I’m not comfortable,’” said the star. “And B, I had just come from the gym lifting weights, so I was like, ‘That thing sparked that?’ I don’t know.”

She also said she and Mauricio were “unbothered” by the divorce rumors.

“When this stuff would come up before, I would like, cry and I was devastated,” Kyle said. “But now, I’m more like, ‘OK, I’ve done this before. Let’s do this. Bring it on. Come on. Let’s see what you got for me here.’”

Kyle and Mauricio were last seen together publicly at the wedding of Kim Richards‘ daughter, Whitney Davis, and her now-husband, Luke Graham White, in June. And, in honor of longtime friend Faye Resnick’s birthday, they shared a photo of the two of them with her on Monday.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 13 wrapped filming in May and is expected to begin airing on Bravo sometime later this year or early next year.
