Lala Kent opened up about Kyle Richards‘ separation from Mauricio Umansky on a recent episode of her podcast, admitting that she’d heard things about his potential cheating in the past.
As the Vanderpump Rules star, 33, also confessed to thinking the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast members’ marriage was “goals,” Lala spoke of the claims against Mauricio, 53, reacted to his hand-holding outing with Dancing With the Stars partner Emma Slater, 34, and shared where she stands with co-stars Tom Sandoval, 40, and Tom Schwartz, 40.
“You guys will see this coming season, I’m in a bit of a different place,” she revealed during an interview with Entertainment Tonight at BravoCon. “I’m really trying to go through my healing process and understand what I went through and ‘Scandoval‘ ran kind of parallel to my own situation, which was extremely triggering.”
As Pump Rules fans will recall, Lala endured a messy split from former fiance Randall Emmett, 52, in October 2021, just months after they welcomed daughter Ocean Kent, now two.
“So for me, I’m just trying to practice compassion, forgiveness, trying to put the shoe on the other foot. I don’t know if I’m always successful at that but I wanna find that softer side of me because I want my daughter to see that,” Lala explained.
According to Lala, season 11 will see the cast embarking on “a lot of self-reflecting.”
“For the first time, everyone has had to focus on themselves, which you think we’ve been doing that this whole time. But you know, we’ve all kind of been a dog in someone else’s fight,” she noted. “And for a lot of my cast members, I’m like, ‘Oh wow, you’re not being the people pleaser we usually see you as.’ Like, ‘You don’t give a damn.’ We’re all kind of like, ‘If this is what I wanna do, you can kick rocks.”
Also during the interview, Lala joked that “one can only hope” that she’d leave BravoCon with Captain Jason Chambers.
“I think I will get lucky in Vegas. I don’t know in what form … Money or a man or a man with money. Even better!” she added.
Meanwhile, during the November 1 episode of her podcast, Lala commented on the marriage drama between Kyle and Mauricio.
“Kyle and Mauricio were, like, goals … And yes, I live in L.A. I’ve heard rumblings for a while about Mauricio and now I know where there’s smoke, there’s fire. But there are crazy people who just make sh*t up and Mauricio is very hot, so I could see people making up that they hooked up with him,” Lala shared on Give Them Lala.
In addition to not buying the rumors, Lala said she also felt Mauricio’s hand-holding with Emma was all for show.
“I think it’s for publicity, I don’t think it’s real,” she stated. “I don’t think they’ve had some sort of, like, love story, behind the scenes of like, dancing and oh, touching each other’s body and doing the salsa together. I just don’t see that being like, ‘You’re the one for me.’”
Moving on to a then-recent episode of RHOBH, Lala said Kyle seemed to have “checked out.”
“Kyle was so incredibly sexy this episode and I think it’s because she’s kind of looking at him like, ‘I don’t f*cking need you.’ It’s the confidence,” she added. “He looked sad and she looks, I just love the attitude.”
Vanderpump Rules season 11 is set to premiere on Bravo in January 2024.
