As we previously shared, on Thursday (November 16), Sean “Diddy” Combs, 54, was hit with a massive lawsuit by his ex-girlfriend Cassandra Ventura, 37. In her filing, she claimed that after meeting Diddy in 2005 he began a pattern of control and abuse that included plying her with drugs, beating her, and forcing her to have sex with a succession of male prostitutes while he filmed the encounters.
In Cassie’s suit, it claims that in 2018, when the relationship was nearing an end, Diddy allegedly forced his way into Cassie’s home and raped her. In a statement, Cassie has shared, “After years in silence and darkness. I am finally ready to tell my story, and to speak up on behalf of myself and for the benefit of other women who face violence and abuse in their relationships.”

Following the reports of Cassie’s lawsuit, Diddy’s lawyer, Ben Brafman, denied any truth to the claims of rape, abuse, and sex trafficking, and called it a money grab.
Brafman said, “Mr. Combs vehemently denies these offensive and outrageous allegations. For the past six months, Mr. Combs has been subjected to Ms. Ventura’s persistent demand of $30 million, under the threat of writing a damaging book about their relationship, which was unequivocally rejected as blatant blackmail. Despite withdrawing her initial threat, Ms. Ventura has now resorted to filing a lawsuit riddled with baseless and outrageous lies, aiming to tarnish Mr. Combs’ reputation and seeking a payday.”
Now, just one day after Cassie filed her explosive lawsuit, accusing Diddy of multiple instances of abuse, the New York Times reports that the singer and music mogul exes have settled their lawsuit. On Friday evening (November 17), the two parties reached a settlement; however, they have decided against disclosing any details about the terms of the settlement.

I want to thank my family, fans, and lawyers for their unwavering support.”
Meanwhile, Diddy, who has been known as “Puff Daddy,” “P. Diddy,” “Diddy,” and most recently “Love,” stated, “We have decided to resolve this matter amicably. I wish Cassie and her family all the best. Love.”
Cassie’s attorney Douglas Wigdor, said, “I am very proud of Ms. Ventura for having the strength to go public with her lawsuit. She ought to be commended for doing so.”
Following the breaking news, several people on social media spoke out with mixed feelings, including former Bad Boy Records artist and Danity Kane singer Aubrey O’Day. After initially championing Cassie and sending tons of support, Aubrey revealed how she was “heartbroken” over Cassie and Diddy quickly settling her abuse lawsuit.
Taking to her Instagram Story, Aubrey shared the New York Times headline and captioned it, “Money [is greater than] accountability every time. Welcome to another chapter of ‘The System Is Well in Place. [heartbroken emoji].”
