Peter Gunz is questioning singer Cassie and her motives after she quickly settled her abuse lawsuit against ex-boyfriend and music mogul Diddy. Gunz, born Peter Pankey, says, “You get enough money and you shut the f**k up. Are you tryna be a voice for others or are you just gon’ grab this money and shut the f**k up?”

As we previously shared, on Thursday (November 16), Sean “Diddy” Combs, 54, was hit with a massive lawsuit by his ex-girlfriend Cassandra Ventura, 37. In her filing, she claimed that after meeting Diddy in 2005 he began a pattern of control and abuse that included plying her with drugs, beating her, and forcing her to have sex with a succession of male prostitutes while he filmed the encounters.
In Cassie’s suit, it claims that in 2018, when the relationship was nearing an end, Diddy allegedly forced his way into Cassie’s home and raped her. In a statement, Cassie has shared, “After years in silence and darkness. I am finally ready to tell my story, and to speak up on behalf of myself and for the benefit of other women who face violence and abuse in their relationships.”

Following the reports of Cassie’s lawsuit, Diddy’s lawyer, Ben Brafman, denied any truth to the claims of rape, abuse, and sex trafficking, and called it a money grab.
Brafman said, “Mr. Combs vehemently denies these offensive and outrageous allegations. For the past six months, Mr. Combs has been subjected to Ms. Ventura’s persistent demand of $30 million, under the threat of writing a damaging book about their relationship, which was unequivocally rejected as blatant blackmail. Despite withdrawing her initial threat, Ms. Ventura has now resorted to filing a lawsuit riddled with baseless and outrageous lies, aiming to tarnish Mr. Combs’ reputation and seeking a payday.”

Then, a day after Cassie filed her explosive lawsuit, accusing Diddy of multiple instances of abuse, the New York Times reported that the singer and music mogul exes settled their lawsuit. On Friday evening (November 17), the two parties reached a settlement; however, they decided against disclosing any details about the terms of the settlement.
In a brief statement, Cassie said, “I have decided to resolve this matter amicably on terms that I have some level of control. I want to thank my family, fans, and lawyers for their unwavering support.”
Meanwhile, Diddy, who has been known as “Puff Daddy,” “P. Diddy,” “Diddy,” and most recently “Love,” stated, “We have decided to resolve this matter amicably. I wish Cassie and her family all the best. Love.”

Cassie’s attorney Douglas Wigdor, said, “I am very proud of Ms. Ventura for having the strength to go public with her lawsuit. She ought to be commended for doing so.”
Then Diddy’s lawyer clarified that his settling did not insinuate that he was guilty of any wrongdoing. Brafman wrote, “Just so we’re clear, a decision to settle a lawsuit, especially in 2023, is in no way an admission of wrongdoing. Mr. Combs’ decision to settle the lawsuit does not in any way undermine his flat-out denial of the claims. He is happy they got to a mutual settlement and wishes Ms. Ventura the best.”

The list of celebrities speaking out on Cassie’s lawsuit against Diddy continues to grow, now with rapper and reality star Peter Gunz, 54, questioning the motives of Cassie, who quickly settled her complaint with her alleged abusive ex.
Hopping on his Instagram Live over the weekend, Gunz told fans not to ask him any questions about Diddy because he didn’t “know anything about that stuff.” However, he said, “I will say this. I do know Cassie. I met Cassie years ago with my man Ryan Leslie, and not that I don’t know Diddy, we just not friends like that.”
Gunz continued to react to the claims Cassie made against Diddy and said, “I don’t knowww. I don’t jump to judge. I don’t knowww. It doesn’t sound good though. Not a good look. I hope it’s not true. I hope nobody would have to go through that kind of sh*t. True story, I might have done my sh*t, but I’ve never put my hands on a woman. I couldn’t see it.”
Gunz admitted that he might have checked a woman if they were attacking him, but stood firm on never physically abusing anyone, like Cassie alleged Diddy did to her. Following his initial comments, Peter Gunz then hopped on another Instagram Live with his close friend and ‘Love & Hip Hop: New York‘ co-star Rich Dollaz, born Richard Trowers.

During their session, Gunz told Dollaz, 46, that he questioned Cassie’s motives after quickly settling her $30 million lawsuit alleging years of abuse against Diddy. Gunz said, “[People] say they want to be the voice so that this doesn’t happen to anybody else, but then you get enough money and you shut the f**k up. So which one is it? That’s my question. Are you tryna be the voice so this doesn’t happen to anybody else or you gon’ grab this money and shut the f**k up? That’s what I was saying.”
Dollaz went on to break things down for Gunz and let him know, “You’re entitled to your opinion, but I don’t agree. Number one, it was civil. Civil means money. So there was never any kind of dispute about what was going on here. This is not a criminal case. He did not take a criminal case and make it civil. She did not start cooperating with the cops and then change up. She was in a civil case from the beginning, which meant she wanted money.”
Dollaz also said that his ex-girlfriend and another ‘Love & Hip Hop‘ cast member Moniece Slaughter, 36, had to “break things down for him,” so he’d connect the two of them, which he did, and then Slaughter and Gunz went on live to address things.
