‘RHOA’ Producers Only Plan to Keep 3 Housewives

It’s been a busy week for the fans of The Real Housewives of Atlanta.

First, rumors began to fly that casting was underway after it was reported that Sanya Richards- Ross and Drew Sidora removed RHOA from their respective Instagram accounts. However, Drew later claimed she never had the hashtag in her bio. Now, it’s being reported that serious decisions are being made about RHOA season 16. Plus, is NeNe Leakes in talks to return to the show?

Fans have known for a while that the RHOA producers wanted fresh faces for the show. However, exactly how many new ladies was the question, and fans wanted to know if their favs would be fired. 

Now, the Jasmine Brand is reporting some exclusive news. According to insiders, they are currently looking for brand new housewives for the show. Additionally, the RHOA producers only plan to keep three current peach holders. 

There is no word yet on which three current peach holders will remain on the show. However, the internet seems to think it would be for sure Kandi and Kenya, but the third is a toss-up based on fan reaction. 

It had been previously reported that the powers behind RHOA wanted famous women from Atlanta. This would be similar to Kandi joining the show during season two. However, the word now is that Bravo does not have the budget to pay for celebrities, but they do want well-known influencers or socialites. 

According to the report, filming should begin in the spring of 2024. If correct, this would mean that RHOA would probably air around the same time it did during its heydays, which is during the fall. It’s also important to point out that they could begin filming before they have the cast fully set as reality shows often test out new cast members by filming them with the existing cast. 

Some fans may recall that Kenya recently revealed on Carlos King’s podcast, Reality With the King, that she filmed for quite a while before being offered a contract. She didn’t actually get the contract until the incident when Porsha used the wrong title while introducing her at an event. 

The other news being reported is that NeNe Leakes is not in talks to return to RHOA. Yes, she and Bravo now follow each other on Instagram, but it seems she won’t be coming back unless something changes. However, an insider told The Messenger that Porsha has been ‘approached’ to join the show.
