Dirtybird has clipped the wings of its CampINN festival, which will “no longer be returning,” the label announced Thursday.
It’s the end of an era for CampINN, one of the venerated Dirtybird brand’s most beloved events. Thanks to its whimsical stage designs and breezy open-air parties, the sun-kissed Orlando fest enjoyed a remarkable three-year run.
CampINN’s secret sauce, however, was its frivolity. Attendees were split into three groups—Gator Gang, Scuba Squad and Flamingo Fam—and assigned their own sections of the dancefloor to rave the days away in jovially competitive spirit. The event also hosted an array of poolside games, like floatie races and obstacle courses.
What the news means for CampINN’s West Coast sister festival, Dirtybird Campout, remains to be seen. But fans can find solace in Dirtybird’s avowal, “This isn’t goodbye forever.”
Organizers postponed this year’s Dirtybird Campout amid plans to secure a new location for the multi-day camping experience. The search continues as of October, when they announced on social media that they’re “recalibrating and looking for a new location that will reinvigorate you and us in the years to come.”
