Deadpool 3 is shaping up to be one of the biggest crossovers in the last few years. Set photos from the film tease connections from across the MCU multiverse.
With the SAG-AFTRA strike now concluded, filming has resumed for Deadpool 3. Brand new set photos reveal a number of surprising multiversal connections that will likely look familiar to MCU fans. These include several iconic cars from prior Marvel projects, the return of iconic villains, and even the appearance of the TVA.
Joining the TVA appears to be Sabretooth and Toad from the original 2000s X-Men films. Regarding the cars, Marvel fans were quick to notice a modified version of the cupcake van from Moon Knight and Red Skull’s iconic car from Captain America: The First Avenger. The film also seems to be the live-action debut of the Fantasticar from the Fantastic Four comics. Deadpool 3 is truly shaping up to be a colliding of the MCU’s multiverse. Here’s to hoping it manages to keep its focus!
Who else is attached to the Deadpool threequel?
Shawn Levy is directing Deadpool 3 after working with Ryan Reynolds on Free Guy and The Adam Project. The upcoming Marvel Studios project also marks a reunion between Levy and Hugh Jackman as the two worked together on Real Steel.
Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick are developing the Deadpool 3 script after penning the first two installments in the series. The Molyneux sisters worked on a previous draft of the project.
