Offset has given back to Atlanta’s less fortunate at his most recent appearance.
The ex-Migos rapper teamed up with the Ann Cephus Family Fund (ACFF) — named after the rapper’s grandmother, and founded by Offset himself — to distribute a myriad of goodies including toys, clothes, internet service, and more on Friday (December 3) to the less fortunate in Gwinnett County.
“I want to thank you guys for supporting me on the second year of Toyz 4 the Nawf that I’m doing,” he said to Fox 5 Atlanta, referring to the name of the annual event. “I’m giving back to my community. I’m trying to inspire the youth and show them that your dreams can come true. And then when you’re blessed, you bless other people.”
Check out a video recap of the event below.
Offset isn’t the only ex-Migos member who gave back to Atlanta during the holidays.
Last month, Quavo provided those in need with the makings of a proper Thanksgiving feast.
A statement announced that the Migos rapper launched Honcho Farms on November 20, with a pre-Thanksgiving an open-air farmers market for families, in partnership with his Quavo Cares Foundation and Urban Recipe.
In celebration of his new venture and as an example of the work Huncho Farms intends to continue doing, the “Hotel Lobby” rapper was able provided meals for more than 300 families in need.
Atlanta Hawks player Josh Smith was in attendance, helping out at the home goods stand. Meanwhile, Quavo and his family were handing out turkeys, and volunteers from local mutual aid organizations were handing out sides and vegetables.
Attendees were also treated to a live cooking demonstration by Chef Brown of Chef Brown Catering, access to resources such as information on food stamps, and services provided by local non-profits Second Helpings, Food Well, Atlanta Community Food Bank, Westside Future Fund, and Chris 180.
The day before the food drive, Quavo dropped the Huncho Farms Cookbook, an initiative of his Quavo Cares non-profit, in partnership with Urban Recipe and Atlanta Community Food Bank. Along with family recipes, there are also tons of healthy cooking tips – and it’s all available for a free download here.
