AMC’s dark comedy series Lucky Hank, starring Bob Odenkirk, will not be returning for a second season. Set in the world of academia, the show followed Odenkirk’s character, Hank Devereaux Jr., the English department chairman at a struggling university. AMC has now cancelled Lucky Hank, seven months after its season 1 finale.

Lucky Hank season 1 will be the final outing for the show. The dark AMC comedy set in the world of academia starred Bob Odenkirk as Hank Devereaux, Jr., the English department chairman at a struggling university. The show, which was Odenkirk’s first following the sixth and final season of his Breaking Bad spinoff Better Call Saul, also starred Mireille Enos, Cedric Yarbrough, Diedrich Bader, Olivia Scott Welch, Sara Amini, and Suzanne Cryer.

Per The Hollywood Reporter, Lucky Hank has now been cancelled by AMC.
