Source Gives New Update on Kyle Richards & Mauricio’s Marriage

A source is sharing a new update on Kyle Richards’ marriage amid her reported separation from husband Mauricio Umansky.

After the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, 54, and her realtor spouse, 53, denied claims of an impending divorce, and fired back at the suggestion of a secret romance between Kyle and Morgan Wade, 28, an insider is speaking out on their relationship.

Earlier this month, it was alleged that Kyle and Mauricio had separated after 27 years of marriage.

“Kyle and Mauricio have been separated for a while now but are still living under the same roof. They remain amicable as they figure out what’s next for them and their family,” a source told PEOPLE on July 3.

But shortly after the report, they insisted they were not getting divorced.

“In regards to the news that came out about us today… Any claims regarding us divorcing are untrue. However, yes, we have had a rough year,” they said in a joint statement on Instagram. “The most challenging one of our marriage. But we both love and respect each other tremendously. There has been no wrongdoing on anyone’s part. Although we are in the public eye, we ask to be able to work through our issues privately. While it may be entertaining to speculate, please do not create false stories to fit a further salacious narrative.”

They then celebrated the Fourth of July as a family in Aspen. But, according to a source, their marriage had been on shaky ground for some time.

“Kyle and Mauricio have been struggling in their relationship. Their problems aren’t new. They had been spending time apart and doing their own things, but they have been trying to make things work,” an insider told Entertainment Tonight at the time.

Now, weeks later, it has been noted that the couple continues to try to mend their relationship.

“Kyle and Mauricio’s relationship is a work in progress. She is taking things day by day,” a source told Entertainment Tonight on July 20. “As always, their family is their priority, and they are both taking their kids into consideration. They want to keep their family unified no matter what happens.”

In addition to sharing three daughters, including Alexia Umansky, 27, Sophia Umansky, 23, and Portia Umansky, 15, Mauricio has acted as a stepdad to Farrah Aldjufrie, 34, from Kyle’s marriage to Guraish Aldjufrie, for many years.

“[Both want to have a] loving, trustworthy and honest [dynamic]” for their children, the insider explained. “Regardless of what the future holds, they both want to have a consistently healthy, trustworthy, loving, and honest dynamic. Their kids are hoping for the best.”

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast is currently in production, filming additional scenes for season 13, which is expected to premiere on Bravo sometime later this year.
