The ladies of the Real Housewives of Potomac are doing their part to keep Austin weird. Ashley is trying her hardest to keep the group positive, which is a TASK, considering Wendy and Nneka are still going at it. Ashley has set up activities like chicken sh*t bingo and vagina painting, but when Robyn‘s emotions boil over, things don’t go quite as planned.
Wendy and Nneka’s beef is hard to follow. The confusion mounts because it seems like Wendy is not telling the truth about knowing Lebe. Lebe was announced at Wendy’s daughter’s sip and see, AND Lebe was given a gele…which is usually gifted to special people. Wendy shrugs this off by saying she even gave Gizelle a gele. No one can understand why Wendy is dancing around her connection to Lebe, and Wendy goes as far as claiming Nneka does crack to get the target off her back.
Gizelle puts an end to the drug allegations, and Wendy jumps in to state there should not be ANY allegations made by the group… particularly ones about shrines (wink). Karen tries to get the ladies to move on, and they decide the best way to cut the tension is to dance. Candiace takes a moment to check in with Nneka after the confrontation, and Wendy doesn’t like that. She confronts Candiace and tells her to stop talking about her.
As they drive to the restaurant, the two cars seem to symbolize two different teams. Nneka realizes that Wendy will never apologize on behalf of her mother for the shrine allegations because that would make Wendy’s mom look guilty. And over in the other car, Wendy promises there is nothing to salvage when it comes to a relationship with Nneka. This should definitely make for a fun, drama-free dinner… said no one ever.
While at dinner, the ladies bond over the only thing that can get them to laugh and talk civilly: sex. They discuss who swallows, and Robyn admits that she does. (Mind you, this is all happening while the poor waiter is still at the table taking orders.) Interesting that Robyn does that for Juan, yet he is allegedly out running around on her. In the words of Karen, “Given the headlines, I wouldn’t be swallowing it.” Candiace admits that she would prefer being peed on before she swallows… only if it’s in the shower. The convo moves on to licking booty holes, and IMO, although it’s “authentic and candid,” it is certainly not dinner chat.
Nneka thanks the women for inviting her since she has been going through a hard time, considering she is unable to conceive. A salty Wendy looks on as Nneka bonds with Candiace about wanting twins so they can be done.
Once back at the hotel, they decide to bring the party back to Robyn’s big a*s room for approximately 13 seconds. The group dismantles, and interestingly enough, Robyn, Candiace, and Nneka are the only ones remaining. Candiace complains about needing slippers, and she helps herself to Robyn’s pair, which is interesting considering just weeks ago, Candiace bashed Robyn like crazy.
Robyn hasn’t forgotten about their issues, and Candiace hasn’t either. Before leaving, Candiace asks to have a talk with Robyn tomorrow because their problems have been going on for too long. I can see why Robyn is confused by Candiace’s moves, but I am happy to see some movement towards reconciliation. It should be noted that Nneka is clinging onto Robyn like whoa…
The next morning, Ashley has breakfast for the group, and Robyn and Gizelle are the first to arrive. Gizelle admits that she was not a good friend the night before because she left Robyn in a room with people who have been trashing her. She marvels at how Robyn could even let Candiace be in her room, but just wait until she hears that Candiace is trying to make amends with Robyn!
Ashley has planned a painting party, but it’s not your average subject. The ladies are to paint their vaginas. Karen becomes highly uncomfortable, and so she does what anyone would do in that situation — she deflects.
Karen explains that the group doesn’t know what Robyn is going through with Juan, and she feels like Robyn only speaks to one-half of the group about the issues in her marriage. Karen asks Robyn directly, and Robyn explains that she only shares with the people who reach out to her.
Candiace jumps in and wonders why Robyn did not respond to her when SHE reached out, and Robyn is shocked to hear this, considering Candiace had a lot to say about her relationship. Robyn goes off on a tangent saying she has gone through torture, but Karen insists that Robyn needs to be held accountable because she lied the entire year. Robyn states that this is a personal experience, but Karen claims Robyn brought them all into it. Robyn loses her cool, and Candiace wonders why Robyn didn’t read the DM exchange between Juan and another woman. Robyn states that Juan deletes his phone like crazy (which IS crazy), and so he did not have the messages. Isn’t that convenient… and shady?
Gizelle reminds the world that trust is still a thing, but based on Juan’s past, things seem a little fishy. Ashley jumps in because Robyn wasted too much time ranting and they no longer can paint their vaginas (thank God), and instead, they must pick out of a hat to find out where they are spending their afternoon.
Robyn is annoyed that everyone was coming at her, and Karen realizes just how much Robyn loves Juan. Wendy is cold and stoic about how little she cares about their relationship (and girl, I’m with you). Nneka shares that she was bummed about how her wedding turned out, and she is looking forward to her traditional Nigerian wedding.
While half of the group sips and shops for boots, the other half arrives at the distillery for some tastings. Mia does not partake because she is not drinking liquor, and when a black crow lands near her, Mia asks Wendy if that’s her momma. If looks could kill, Wendy. Wendy tries to clarify what a shrine is and states that Catholicism uses shrines — it shouldn’t automatically translate to witchcraft. She calls this conversation triggering and gets upset hearing her mom get bashed. She refuses to be friends with people that attack her mother.
All the ladies reunite after their activities, and they discuss Nneka’s “disastrous” wedding and how important it is to have her Nigerian wedding on her father’s land and compound. Nneka casually mentions that her husband is a titled man, and he did not even have to pay for it… and she likens this to being verified on Twitter. It turns out Karen and Mia pay for their verified accounts — ha!
Post food, there’s some chicken sh*t bingo planned, much to Karen’s chagrin. Ashley hints that she is working on getting a man, but she is not quite ready to celebrate the divorce as it is still ongoing. No one is even certain that Ashley filed for divorce yet, and Michael’s lawsuit against Candiace gets brought up.
Candiace refuses to speak about that with the group, and Robyn wonders if they can get a list of what they’re allowed to talk about. Candiace lets Robyn know that they “can be dense a different day.” This is a legal matter, and Robyn of all people should be careful with lawsuits, considering how Robyn talked about Juan’s legal matters on camera. Juan is currently fighting a Title IX violation, yet she still blindly defends him.
On the way to chicken sh*t bingo (whatever that means), Robyn and Candiace sit next to each other. Candiace states that it is not smart to speak about legal information, and Robyn gets upset, claiming that no one knows what they’re talking about, and she is not the villain they are making her out to be. Robyn is upset, we are hit with a to-be-continued, and we STILL don’t know what chicken sh*t bingo is…
