There’s nothing like having a common enemy!
King Charles III and Prince William have grown closer than ever thanks to their shared frustrations with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle! On Tuesday, royal expert Christopher Andersen claimed the father-son duo’s relationship has never been better — and it’s all thanks to the family feud that doesn’t seem to have an ending. He explained to Us Weekly:
“They’ve had to put up this united front against Harry and Meghan.”
Seems like Spare and all the couple’s various tell-alls may have backfired somewhat. If the Duke and Duchess of Sussex thought calling out their family for mistreatment was going to give them an edge in their reconciliation efforts, they thought wrong!

Because Charles and William were probably the biggest targets in Spare, they leaned on each other to get through the difficult media storm — rather than let it tear them apart. Now, they’re on the same page in more ways than one:
“They’ve been insulted by members of their own family. It’s been quite the ordeal for them, and I think that they kind of circled the wagon, so to speak. And they’ve come out of that with a stronger bond.”
As for why William is getting on so well with his father, Andersen seems to believe it helps that the Prince of Wales and his wife Princess Catherine have been “naturals” at royal life “from the very beginning,” and they don’t mind doing what it takes to protect the monarchy’s future. Much unlike Harry and Meghan who walked away from that world in 2020.

Speaking of the Archewell founders, The King: The Life of King Charles III author predicted the royal family won’t be the only ones distancing themselves from the couple moving forward:
“Trying to carve out this new life for them in Hollywood, I suppose they expected the honeymoon to go on. And as time passed, more and more of their allies and friends and admirers have just fallen away because they see this as a kind of a narcissistic romp through Montecito. … They’re not getting the kind of support now that they had when they arrived.”
That said, he doesn’t “see any evidence” the couple are headed for a split, despite some reports suggesting they have been taking time apart. Still, they have an uphill battle if they want to have a long, happy marriage:
“[Their relationship is] not just a Hollywood marriage. It’s a Hollywood marriage with the whole tensions of royalty thrown in. Frankly, people on that level, it’s very hard to imagine how they keep their sanity because [there’s] no privacy, none whatsoever. And people are constantly harping about them. The best thing they can do is ignore everything.”
It would probably help if they kept their family matters private too, and maybe give Charles and William less of a reason to bond! Thoughts? Sound OFF (below)!
