Diddy has returned to social media to celebrate the life of his late ex, Kim Porter, on her birthday.
Taking to his various social media pages on Friday (December 15), the embattled Bad Boy mogul — who turned off the comments — paid tribute to Porter, who is the mother of three of his children.
“We miss you so much Kim! Happy Birthday Beautiful! Love forever,” he wrote.
Check out the post below.
Kim Porter’s funeral was held back in 2018 in her hometown of Columbus, Georgia. Between 1,000 and 1,500 people attended the service, including Diddy, Lil Kim, Mary J. Blige, Faith Evans, Stevie J, Kandi Burruss, Kimora Lee Simmons, and Tichina Arnold.
Evans performed “His Eye Is on the Sparrow” and Yolanda Adams sang “Just a Prayer Away” during the ceremony.
According toTMZ, Diddy was one of the few who delivered a eulogy in Porter’s honor. Blige, Dallas Austin, Bishop Noel Jones, and Porter’s son Quincy Brown also shared a few words about Porter.
Diddy shared some of his sentiments on Instagram, writing, “Today we lay to rest our ANGEL. Her spirit lives on with us FOREVER!!! We thank you all for your prayers and support. You have no idea how much it means to us. We thank GOD for all of you.”
Porter’s lifeless body was discovered in her Los Angeles area home at the age of 47.
Diddy and Porter dated off and on for over a decade. They have three biological children together — Christian (also known as rapper King Combs) and twin girls D’Lila Star and Jessie James — and Diddy helped raise her son with Al. B. Sure!, Quincy.
Diddy was understandably distraught following Porter’s death and expressed those emotions in another Instagram post.
“For the last three days I’ve been trying to wake up out of this nightmare,” he wrote last week. “But I haven’t. I don’t know what I’m going to do without you, baby. I miss you so much. Today I’m going to pay tribute to you, I’m going to try and find the words to explain our unexplainable relationship.
“We were more than best friends, we were more than soulmates. WE WERE SOME OTHER SHIT!! And I miss you so much. Super Black Love.”
Diddy also celebrated Porter on her birthday last year. At the time, the Bad Boy Records founder took to Instagram to share a carousel of photos of the late mother of three of his children, who died unexpectedly from a form of pneumonia in November 2018 at just 47 years old.
“Today we celebrate you on your rebirth day,” Diddy wrote in the caption. “I pray y’all get to experience a love like this. I miss you & love you forever.”
