Former Illinois GOP lawmaker Adam Kinzinger claimed that former President Donald Trump has severe body odor, explaining, “He smells like armpits, ketchup, and butt.” Kinzinger used to work adjacent to Trump while serving in the House of Representatives during Trump’s presidential term. It’s reported that he never supported him, however.

Earlier this month, the former Republican representative, who’s previously been a critic of Trump, took to his account on X (formerly Twitter) and shared, “I’m genuinely surprised how people close to Trump haven’t talked about the odor. It’s truly something to behold. Wear a mask if you can.”
Subsequently, Kinzinger’s post garnered tons of attention, causing hundreds of social media users to mock the former president for this alleged odor he possesses. They even created a hashtag, #TrumpSmellsBad, and had it trending on X. Eventually, The Independent reported that a spokesperson for Trump reached out to them and shared a statement on behalf of No. 45.

The statement read, “Adam Kinzinger farted on live TV and is an unemployed fraud. He has disgraced his country and disrespects everyone around him because he is a sad individual who is mad about how his miserable life has turned out.”
Initially, the former GOP lawmaker did not give details on what the former president smelled like, however, others who have alleged Trump has a severe odor have previously explained that it is a “distinct smell.” While interviewing with Mary Trump, the niece of No. 45, earlier this year on her show ‘The Mary Trump Show,’ comedian Kathy Griffin commented on Trump’s alleged odor.
Griffin, who spent a short amount of time with Trump on his old show ‘The Apprentice,’ said that he smelled “like body odor with kind of like scented makeup products.” She added, “Donald has a distinct smell that doesn’t get enough press.”

Following Adam Kinzinger’s post earlier this month, The Independent now updates that he has continued to speak on Donald Trump’s alleged odor and is now giving a few more details. While speaking with The MeidasTouch Network on Thursday (December 28), Kinzinger resurfaced his claims about Trump’s “not good” smell and offered more descriptives.
Kinzinger said, “It’s not good. The best way to describe it… take armpits, ketchup, a butt, and makeup, and put that all in a blender and bottle that as a cologne. That’s kind of that. I’ve been amazed that everybody is just kind of learning about this now.”
