Former RHONJ couple Lauren Manzo and Vito Scalia reunite after announcing their divorce in October 2023 after eight years of marriage.
Lauren Manzo and Vito Scalia‘s marriage may be over, but they are still a united family. The former RHONJ couple reunited over the weekend to watch their 6-year-old daughter, Marchesa “Markie” Scalia, compete in a cheerleading competition.
The former RHONJ staples posed for a picture with Markie after her team won first place at a cheer competition on Saturday. Markie’s team one first again when they competed again on Sunday.
In the photo, both Vito and Lauren held up number 1’s with their fingers while Markie clutched her medal for winning first place.
On Monday, October 23, The U.S. Sun reported that Vito, 37, filed for divorce from Lauren Manzo, 35, after eight years of marriage on September 5, 2023. Lauren, the daughter of RHONJ OG Caroline Manzo, was served with divorce papers at their home on September 29, 2023.
Before filing for divorce in September, Vito filed a Marital Settlement Agreement on July 26, which “is a legal document used in New Jersey that spells out the terms of a divorce and provides a framework for the relationship between former spouses after divorce.”
After the news went public, Lauren opened up about her divorce from Vito and their plans to co-parent Markie.
“By now, you guys have seen the news that has broken. Um, just wanna let you guys know we’re all good. This has been done for a very long time. The last part of the process was filing. We were on the same page. This is something that we did together,” the daughter of RHONJ OG Caroline Manzo said in an Instagram video.
“Vito and I love and respect each other, and we continue to move forward as a family. All that matters to us is that our daughter is happy and healthy. Her privacy is important to us. We haven’t put on TV in seven years, which is why we did not feel the need for some dramatic announcement,” she continued.
The former RHONJ star emphasized that she and Vito’s main priority at the moment is co-parenting their 6-year-old daughter, Marchesa “Markie” Scalia.
“We continue to move forward with love and respect for each other, and we will always be a family. And that’s it. It’s about our daughter and her privacy because she didn’t ask to be on TV. We did. We appreciate you guys and hope you have a great day,” she added.
A month later, Vito made it known that his decade-plus friendship with college roommate Albie Manzo remains strong despite his divorce from Lauren, who is Albie’s younger sister.
The 37-year-old deli owner from Monroe, NY, attended Albie Manzo and Chealsea DeMonaco‘s second wedding in New Jersey on Saturday, November 25. The two wed in Piegaro, Italy, on October 25, surrounded by 85 of their closest friends and family.
Lauren and Vito began dating in 2009 after knowing each other for four years. They eventually tied the knot in July 2015.
