We’ve got a chilling new poster to share with you for Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire. It features the Ghostbusters team facing off with a slew of sinister ghostly villains who are terrorizing New York City, which has been transformed into a wonder icy wasteland.
In the story, New York City finds itself freezing over due to an ancient artifact that unleashes an evil force! The synopsis reads:
In Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, the Spengler family returns to where it all started – the iconic New York City firehouse – to team up with the original Ghostbusters, who’ve developed a top-secret research lab to take busting ghosts to the next level. But when the discovery of an ancient artifact unleashes an evil force, Ghostbusters new and old must join forces to protect their home and save the world from a second Ice Age.
Ghostbusters: Afterlife co-writer and executive producer Gil Kenan is directing the sequel, with Afterlife director and co-writer Jason Reitman serving as writer and executive producer. The movie also stars Patton Oswalt, Kumail Nanjiani, comedian James Acaster, and Emily Alyn Lind have joined the cast! They join returning cast members Paul Rudd, Carrie Coon, Finn Wolfhard, and Mckenna Grace. Bill Murray, Dan Akyroyd, and Ernie Hudson also return for the sequel!
The film is scheduled to be released on March 29th, 2024.
