Charlamagne Tha God took the time to speak on Jess’s Hilarious being the permanent host for ‘The Breakfast Club.’
As we previously reported, Jess made an announcement right before Christmas that she was going to be the new host on the show following Angela Yee’s departure. Once DJ Envy and Charlamagne returned back from their holiday break they both expressed how they were confused that they didn’t have a permanent host yet but they never mentioned Jess Hilarious’ name.

“You know what I’m confused by?” Charlamagne began around the 2:34 mark of the clip below. “We spent all last year rotating guest co-hosts and I thought we was rotating guest co-hosts before we let God decide who was supposed to be in here. Now it’s 2024. What happened? Did we just say, ‘F it, there’s not gonna be another co-host?’”
After DJ Envy agreed he was equally as confused and was adamant that they still needed a third mic, Charlamagne added: “Angela Yee, what I always say, is irreplaceable so it’s like the person that’s coming in here is not replacing anyone. If there’s somebody coming in here. That’s the whole point of me having this conversation. What the hell happened? I don’t know what the hell is happening.”
He continued: “It don’t feel like nothing. It ain’t no motion. What’s happening? I’m not even joking with y’all. I don’t know what the hell is going on. I don’t wanna rotate guest co-hosts no more, though.”

Now, in a quick interview, while speaking with TMZ, Charlamagne said that he’s unsure if Jess will be the new Co-host. The interviewer asked Charlamagne where is Jess Hilarious and he responded by saying “I don’t know, Jess has a podcast called The Carefully Reckless podcast on the Black Effect iHeart radio podcast network and she’s doing stand-up Jess is doing her thing.” He also spoke on Jess previously making an announcement that was going to be on the show permanently and said, “I don’t know but I’m not happy we will find out soon enough though.”
