RHOBH’s Annemarie Wiley Claps Back at Sutton and Crystal

Annemarie Wiley may be in her first year as a housewife, but that hasn’t stopped her from voicing her opinions with her Real Housewives of Beverly Hills castmates. And, on the latest episode, she found herself on the outs with a number of her co-stars, including Sutton Stracke and Crystal Kung-Minkoff.

After Sutton, 52, called her out for continuously discussing her esophagus and Crystal, 40, slammed her as a “b*tch” amid an argument about her profession, Annemarie, 40, fired back at both women, accusing Sutton of being dishonest and stating that Crystal’s insinuation that she had presented herself as a doctor was “super disrespectful.”

“Any healthcare professional would’ve asked that question. Anybody would’ve asked their colleagues, anybody would’ve looked at her like she had two heads for saying something that didn’t make sense. And then anybody would’ve been like, ‘Why are you yelling at me crazy lady because you are the one that lied?’” Annemarie explained on the January 17 episode of the RHOBH: After Show.

“This is why I say Sutton likes to do all the questioning,” she continued. “She likes to get messy with other people and poke and prod into their business but when somebody questions her about something, something that actually is a legit question, by the way, not just being messy, actually not at all being messy, she gets mad [and] turns it on me like I’m the bad guy.”

While Annemarie doesn’t see anything wrong with her questions about Sutton’s esophagus condition, Sutton is sick and tired of hearing about it — and has no interest in discussing her health further.

“How dare you keep bringing my medical conditions up to people. She won’t stop and I’m tired of talking about it,” she noted.

Meanwhile, in her own segment, Kyle Richards, 55, recalled a visit she made to Sutton’s home, during which Sutton called her sister-in-law.

“The sister-in-law explained that the family has this and her husband, Sutton’s brother, also has this and that it’s a real issue and I was like, ‘Wow,’ where was this sister-in-law a while back?” she stated.

Kyle also addressed Annemarie’s decision to bring up the matter at her late best friend Lorene Shea’s memorial.

“I did not know that during Lorene’s celebration of life event, Annemarie was talking to some of the other ladies about Sutton’s esophagus and that whole issue. If that had turned into an argument on that night, I would have lost my marbles,” she admitted.

Moving on to her drama with Crystal, Annemarie shaded her co-star for “randomly [inserting] herself” into her discussion with Sutton and telling her, “You’re not a doctor.”

“I know. And? Next. ‘Well, you said you were an anesthesiologist.’ And I’m like, ‘Okay, Crystal, now you’re coming for my profession for no reason,’” she recalled. “I said I’m a nurse anesthetist and you saying, ‘You are not a doctor. You present yourself like you’re a doctor’ is super disrespectful.”

According to Crystal, she met Annemarie once before she joined the group. And, during that initial run-in, they discussed Annemarie’s career.

“She said she’s in anesthesiology, an anesthesiologist. And I said, My half-sister’s an anesthesiologist. And we talked about her doing a private practice at Cedar’s,” Crystal revealed. “And then when we were at Sutton’s anniversary party, someone came up to Annemarie and was like ‘Welcome to the group. I heard you’re a fellow nurse.’ [And] I was like ’That’s strange.”

Although Crystal insisted she “[knows] the difference” between a doctor and an anesthetist, Annemarie said she “didn’t know what [a nurse anesthetist] was.”

“A nurse anesthetist is an RN that practices anesthesia and an anesthesiologist is an MD that practices anesthesiology. So we do the same practice. We have the same scope of practice. We just get there two different path,” Annemarie explained. “Sorry that you don’t understand my title. I get it. A lot of people don’t understand … But that’s not my fault that you don’t know what I do.”

In addition to the confusion surrounding the title of Annemarie’s profession, Crystal also took note of her strange social media behavior.

“I went on her Instagram and it had said anesthesiology with stethoscope and then maybe after we started kind of getting into it, she changed it to nurse anesthetist and then she started posting things more about being a nurse anesthetist and then she changed it again to nurse anesthetist CRNA,” Crystal revealed. “She just kept adding more and more to define herself as a nurse as opposed to a doctor and I just noticed that.”

“I think she [was] very clear that she’s a nurse anesthetist [once] she joined the group because now you’re in a public forum here,” Crystal added.
