Travis Kelce’s ex-girlfriend, Kayla Nicole, says she’s taking a step back from the sports world and is done dating athletes.
Nicole famously dated the Kansas City Chiefs football player for five years between 2017 and 2022. They reportedly split and reconciled on several occasions during that time.
But in a new interview on the ‘Behind the Likes’ podcast, the socialite says she’s moving on from athletes for good.
“I’ll never say never, but I fully, wholeheartedly believe that I am out of the athlete stage,” she said on the show. “I would love to just date someone that– I do think that I’m attracted to men in positions of power, and I also think those types of men are attracted to me.”

Nicole didn’t hold back on describing what kind of man she’s now interested in dating. She revealed her attraction to men in positions of power.
“So, I would love to date an executive of a record label or a movie producer. So that we can, like, go to the sporting events. Like, let date night be courtside at the Laker game. That’s my kind of guy.”
But her change in preference does not imply a compromise on lifestyle! Nicole clarified that she still plans on enjoying sporting events. However, she’s just done popping out as a supportive girlfriend with her man’s name on a jersey!
Her dating switch-up comes after she seemingly complimented Jalen Hurts last November. At the time, Nicole reposted a video of the Philadelphia Eagles quarterback on her X page. She dropped the team chant “Fly eagles fly” in the caption.
The video showed Hurts at the Wells Fargo Center in Philly as he watched the Sixers take on the Lakers. It had already received plenty of love online.
Still, her tweet sparked speculation among followers about her interest in Hurts. People were particularly curious since Hurts has been in a long-term relationship with girlfriend Bryonna Rivera Burrows.
Nicole later defended herself in a since-deleted post, saying, “Y’all have eyes too.”

Nicole Speaks Out After Travis And Taylor Swift Go Public
Though Taylor Swift and Kelce didn’t start dating until a year after his split from Nicole, the influencer was in a media storm after their relationship went public.
In October, Nicole posted a video to her Instagram page expressing her feelings about her name constantly being brought up. However, she didn’t name-drop anyone.
“They will say that you’re too much and then, in the same breath, claim you’re not enough. Not successful enough, not wholesome enough, maybe not even intelligent enough. They might even try to tie you to your net worth.”
According to the Daily Mail, she has since unfollowed Kelce’s teammate, Patrick Mahomes, and his wife, Brittany. The outlet further mentions that after Nicole’s repost about Hurts, Kelce also decided to unfollow her account.
It’s unclear whether she was following her ex then, but neither of them currently follow each other on Instagram.
