Snoop Dogg has said he has “love and respect” for former president Donald Trump.

Snoop, who previously called the controversial politician and reality star “racist,” has appeared to change his tune on Trump.

In an interview with The Sunday Times, Snoop said: “Donald Trump? He ain’t done nothing wrong to me. He has done only great things for me.”

Snoop praised Trump for pardoning Death Row Records co-founder Michael “Harry-O” Harris, who spent 30 years behind bars on an attempted murder charge and drugs offences.

“He pardoned Michael Harris. So I have nothing but love and respect for Donald Trump,” he added.

Snoop Dogg had previously been a vocal critic of Trump who defeated Hilary Clinton in the 2016 election before losing four years later to Joe Biden.

In 2020, Snoop ripped into Trump in a YouTube video, saying: “So, me and my homeboys sittin’ up here talkin’ about all the people that President Trump disrespected. Women, gays, transgenders, Blacks, Mexicans, Asians, and now veterans. Hmmm. Seems like he’s disrespecting every color in the world and everything that ain’t what he is, which is a racist.”

“With that being said, the people that voted for him got exactly what they wanted,” he added. “They gave them what he said he was gon’ do. So, the next muthafucka, you better tell us what we gon’ get for your vote. You better show up and deliver, period.

“We just want some peace, love, equality, and tranquility for everybody. All lives. Just basic conversation. Now carry on.”

In a previously released music video for “Lavender,” Snoop held a fake gun to a Trump lookalike’s head and pulled the trigger, creating controversy.

Trump himself commented on the clip, remarking: “Can you imagine what the outcry would be if @SnoopDogg, failing career and all, had aimed and fired the gun at President Obama? Jail time!”

Snoop had also explicitly called out Trump and his supporters including Kanye West: “If you like that n-gga you motherfucking racist. Fuck you and fuck him. Now what? Draw the line. N-gga, he drew the lines. He drew the motherfucking lines.

“Kanye too. Don’t forget about him too. Fuck you too. Throw him in the bag, too cause he right there with them motherfuckers.”
