Comedians have been going jab for jab in recent weeks. While things seem to be heating up, Judge Mathis wants it all to stop before it gets worse.

In a recent social media post, the famed judge expressed his concern over the ongoing public feuds among Black comedians. Specifically referring to Katt Williams and Mo’Nique’s recent interviews on “Club Shay Shay.” Judge Mathis emphasized that such mud-slinging is not a good look for the Black community. As someone with a keen understanding of legal, ethical, and social dynamics, Judge Mathis called for an end to these public disputes, highlighting the negative impact they have on the culture and the entertainment industry.

While he did not mention Katt Williams and Mo’Nique by name, their interviews have sparked intense debates on social media platforms. Judge Mathis argues that while other cultures handle their disagreements privately, Black entertainers often become the sideshow spectacle, providing fodder for Hollywood executives and studios to silently laugh at.

One of Judge Mathis’ main concerns is the example being set by these public feuds. He believes that these issues should be resolved privately, away from the prying eyes of the public. By airing their grievances in public, Black comedians risk perpetuating negative stereotypes and reinforcing the notion that Black individuals cannot handle conflicts in a mature and respectful manner.

Judge Mathis emphasizes the importance of resolving disputes behind closed doors, where personal issues can be addressed without further damaging the reputation of the Black community.

Judge Mathis acknowledges that he himself sometimes loses his cool in his own courtroom. However, he emphasizes that these outbursts are transformed into entertainment for his television shows. While he understands the entertainment value of conflict, he argues that there is a clear distinction between the controlled environment of a courtroom and the unfiltered chaos of public feuds.

All in all, Judge Mathis encourages comedians to find healthier and more constructive ways to express their differences, without resorting to public humiliation and personal attacks.

More On The Comedianm’s Beef

As we previously reported, Katt Williams was the first to set the Internet on fire when he appeared on Shannon Sharpe’s podcast and aired out, Kevin Hart, Steve Harvey, and more. Meanwhile, Mo’Nique‘s episode recently aired and it’s setting the internet on fire. Take a look below:
