After Tiger 3 and Showtime, Emraan Hashmi is gearing up for Sara Ali Khan‘s upcoming movie, Ae Watan Mere Watan.

Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Somen Mishra produced the movie under Dharmatic Entertainment. Kannan Iyer directed the movie alongside writer Darab Farooqui. It follows the journey of a young woman who becomes a freedom fighter. The movie will be available to stream on March 21, 2024, on Amazon Prime Video.

Ae Watan Mere Watan also stars Sachin Khedekar, Abhay Verma, Sparsh Shrivastav, Alexx O’Neil, and Anand Tiwari. As per reports, Emraan Hashmi will also be making a cameo appearance in the movie.

Ae Watan Mere Watan: Emraan Hashmi’s special appearance in Sara Ali Khan’s new movie

According to a report, Emraan Hashmi will have a small but significant role in Ae Watan Mere Watan. The movie will mark the actor’s third venture with Karan Johar’s production house after Ungli (2014) and Showtime (2024).

Emraan Hashmi will portray the role of freedom fighter Ram Manohar Lohia in the movie. It is a cameo appearance, and the actor recently completed shooting for the same. In the movie, Sara Ali Khan portrays the role of freedom fighter Usha Mehta, who was responsible for setting up the Congress Radio during the freedom movement. Ram Manohar Lohia was Usha’s mentor and played a crucial role in establishing the underground radio, a pivotal tool during the Quit India movement.

On Tuesday, February 13, Sara Ali Khan took to her social media to announce the release date for the movie. She captioned the post with, “Desh ki kahaani, Usha ki zubaani World Radio Day par! #AeWatanMereWatanOnPrime, Mar 21 only on @primevideoin.”

Stream Ae Watan Mere Watan on March 21, 2024 on Amazon Prime Video.
