Chris Brown is dragging Frito-Lay chip brand Ruffles after the company released a statement claiming they had no part in him being uninvited from the NBA All-Star Celebrity Game. The singer fired off, “Y’all tryna save face now. STAND ON BUSINESS!”

As we previously shared on Saturday (February 17), Chris Brown is tired of his past being weaponized against him all these years later. Despite taking accountability, facing his consequences, turning a new leaf, and being forgiven for his past transgressions dating back to 2009, Brown continues to be (in)directly punished.
In the latest instance of such, Brown revealed that he was invited to play in the 2024 NBA All-Star Celebrity Game but noted he wouldn’t be able to play anymore after the league allegedly uninvited him.

After sharing a screenshot to his Instagram Story of the email he and his team received, Brown said, “I was asked by the NBA to play in the All-Star Game this year! Only for them to call later and say they couldn’t do IT because of their sponsors, like RUFFLES. At this point, I’m sick of people bothering me and I’m tired of living in the f***ing past.”
The R&B superstar went on to say, “I POSTED THE EMAILS SO Y’ALL COULD SEE. The NBA still was tryna get me to come and sit court side… NOT F***ING HAPPENING.” In his final IG Story post, he added, “I ONLY GO WHERE I’M APPRECIATED.“

Once Brown blasted the NBA and Ruffles, the latter company released a statement, trying to remove all of the heat off from them. In an email regarding Hollywood Unlocked’s article, a representative wrote, “Reaching out on behalf of Ruffles in response to your article in Hollywood Unlocked on Chris Brown’s social media post regarding the NBA All-Star Celebrity Game. Please see the following brief official statement from Ruffles.”
The statement from the snacks company read, “Ruffles sponsored last night’s NBA All-Star Celebrity Game, however, Ruffles did not have any involvement in, nor visibility, to, any player decisions or celebrity invite discussions.”

Despite Ruffles’ statement, the damage had already been done, and Chris Brown was over it. He took to his Instagram Story again and continued to drag the snacks company. He said, “@RUFFLES [5 cap emojis] I guess y’all tryna save face now! STAND ON BUSINESS. Don’t try to make it look like I’m tripping. YOU AND THE NBA representatives know exactly what y’all are doing!”
In a second IG Story, he wrote, “I HAVE NO REASON TO LIE. Y’ALL KNOW I DON’T CHASE CLOUT! The only reason they responded is because of all the Team Breezy fans flooding they sh*t. Stop f***ing playing with me! SEE HOW FAKE THIS SH*T IS… COWARDS!! Y’ALL KNOW DAMN WELL I AIN’T LYING BECAUSE I NEVER BE ON THIS TYPE OF TIME. These b*tches (@ruffles) tryna save face!”
In a third post, Brown reposted the Ruffles-released PR statement, and on top of it he placed a meme video of a young kid repeatedly saying, “A bullsh*t.”
