One of the biggest topics of 2023 and the start of 2024 has been the romance between Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift — with some even being obsessed. Now, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end is speaking out on his “special” relationship with the pop star.
Travis and Taylor have been dating since last summer, but it wasn’t until September 2023 that they went public. The two have seemingly been going strong ever since, with the ‘Red’ singer showing up to support her boyfriend at the Super Bowl despite being in Tokyo just hours before.
The media and the public have been “obsessed” with the two — and Travis seemingly understands why.
Travis Kelce Knows There Is An ‘Obsession’ With Taylor Swift Relationship
Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift have taken the world by storm — and the Chiefs star knows.
“I’m very aware,” he said of the “impact” his relationship with Taylor Swift has had on the NFL. As you know, after Taylor showed up at the Chiefs game in September, many more women have tuned into the sport, which has had a great effect on its popularity.
“Obviously, this is mostly because Taylor’s in my life now and we got her [to be] part of Chiefs Kingdom,” he said in a resurfaced interview with sports reporter Laura Okmin, “And sure enough, that brought an entire entourage of human beings who just love to support her and love to support everything that she’s about.”
Lauren then told the NFL star that “love looks good” on him, to which he responded with, “I appreciate that, thank you.”
Travis Kelce Speaks On Super Bowl Prep
Before the big game, Travis Kelce spoke on his prep for the Super Bowl, making it clear that he has always been focused on football despite his new, and very public, relationship with Taylor Swift.
“Well, the biggest thing for me is … I never want the people in the building to ever have the idea that I’m not focused on the game, I’m not focused on being my best at football and not having all my focus and all my attention to my craft and making sure that I’m accountable in the biggest game of our lives,” Kelce said of the Super Bowl at the time.
“With that being said, I do, you know, have a guarded approach to it,” he added. “But at the same time, I know what me and Taylor have is special, so I get [the interest].”
As Taylor has shown up at multiple NFL games this past season, many are wondering if Travis will return the favor to join the pop icon on her international Eras Tour — and it seems like he will!
On his podcast, which he hosts with brother Jason Kelce, he hinted he would “venture to an island real soon,” which many think will be Australia as Taylor is currently putting on shows down under.
If anything is clear, the two are living out their ‘Love Story’ and many are excited to follow along even after the NFL season came to an end.
