Brittany Cartwright is no longer in touch with Lisa Vanderpump.
Following her and Jax Taylor‘s December 2020 exit from Vanderpump Rules, Brittany, 35, confirmed Lisa, 63, doesn’t reach out to her or Jax, 44, and has “never met” their 2-year-old son, Cruz Michael Cauchi, while also teasing Jax’s upcoming appearance on Pump Rules and offering an update on their plans to expand their family.
“She hasn’t really reached out or talked to us or anything,” Brittany revealed to Heavy on February 18. “She’s never seen [Cruz]. She doesn’t reach out to us.”
After confirming she reached out to Lisa after her 2022 horse-riding accident, during which the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum broke her leg in two places, Brittany revealed how Lisa responded.
“She was like, ‘Thank you. I miss you.’ And I was like, ‘I miss you too. I love you too.’ Because I do. I have so much respect for Lisa, and I always will,” Brittany stated.
Although Lisa also sent Cruz a gift after his April 2021 birth, she hasn’t been involved with their lives since.
“[I] definitely thought [Lisa] would be a bigger part of [my] life than she is right now,” Brittany admitted. “But again, I still love her. I still respect her. And so I’m grateful for everything that she’s done for me. And allowing me to be on Vanderpump Rules for the five years that I was. So you know, there’s so much that I love about her. She’s like the classiest, cutest thing ever. So I just wish she would be around us a little bit more.”
That said, Brittany noted that she and Jax “could be doing better on [their] end” to initiate communication.
“It kind of goes both ways,” she shared.
In the season 11 trailer for Pump Rules, Jax and Lisa are seen having a tense conversation with one another, during which Jax accuses Lisa of writing him off.
“You are such a [expletive] hypocrite,” Lisa replies.
Speaking of Jax’s first scene back, Brittany said he’ll be seen chatting with Tom Sandoval, 41.
“He goes in, and his first comeback, I think, is having a conversation with Sandoval. And so, yeah, that’s going to be our first time seeing Jax back on Vanderpump Rules,” she revealed, noting that the scene was shot when Sandoval’s relationship with Rachel “Raquel” Leviss, 29, “was still such a big thing.”
Brittany also recently shared plans to welcome another child with Jax.
After telling Us Weekly last June that she’d be “ready to try for No. 2” after the end of summer, Brittany spoke to the Daily Mail, saying she and Jax “do want to welcome a second child.”
“I definitely want another baby 100%. I am not pregnant right now, but I’ve talked to Jax about it. We don’t want our children to be too far apart in age,” she explained, giving a nod to Cruz’s upcoming third birthday in April.
While Brittany and Jax have faced split rumors in recent days, Brittany told the Daily Mail that everything was “going great” between them.
“It’s been so good for our relationship to be working again,” she shared of their roles on The Valley. “It got a little weird after we left Vanderpump Rules, but now we’re back on track and I think it’s good for us to both stay busy.”
