Jamie Foxx is back to work after his health scare last April that had him hospitalized and in pretty rough shape. He has worked hard to make a full recovery from an illness which left him so weak he was unable to walk, to being back on set shooting his action comedy Back In Action, opposite his co-star Cameron Diaz, who came out of retirement to make this movie. Page Six shared photos of the actors back on set, which you can see above.
After sharing the screen in 1999’s Any Given Sunday, and 2014’s Annie, the actors are set to reunite for this new Netflix film, Back in Action. They are joined in the cast by Kyle Chandler and Glenn Close, as well as Andrew Scott, Jamie Demetriou, McKenna Roberts and Rylan Jackson. The film is being helmed by Seth Gordon, who is best known for his work on comedies such as Horrible Bosses, Identity Thief and Baywatch.
Netflix has remained tight-lipped about the movie’s synopsis, so all we know is that the film’s logline reads, “Woman who has been retired for six years comes back smarter and stronger than ever.” I’m looking forward to seeing how the film turns out.
