Farchi reported that he discovered the scorpion attached to his underwear upon investigating the source of his severe pain. This unsettling encounter prompted Farchi and his family to abbreviate their vacation, departing from the hotel a day earlier than planned. The incident was recorded in a complaint to the resort, in which Farchi detailed his ordeal. He claimed that the scorpion had bitten him while he was in bed around 8 a.m. He attributed the scorpion’s presence to negligence on the part of the Venetian Resort, FOX 11 reported.
Representatives from the Venetian Resort chose not to discuss the specifics of the incident, citing guest privacy. However, they assured that the resort’s established protocols for handling such incidents had been adhered to. This occurrence adds to a series of pest-related issues at the resort. Last month, the Southern Nevada Health Department verified that the Venetian was among four hotels on the Las Vegas Strip where bed bugs had been found.
