The Witch and the Beast episode 7 recap
The Witch and the Beast episode 7 kicked off with Ashaf warning Guideau against the Paladin Corps’s 6th Battalion commander, Matt Cugat. Ashaf also tells her that his powers are as formidable as that of a witch due to his pact with a great ice elemental.
As the Man of Ice begins attacking Guideau and Helga, the former asks the witch to leave the scene with the Demon Sword. The Ice Man then attacks Guideau, who fails to dodge the overpowering attack. Later, the antagonist wields the Demon Sword, sending Guideau and Helga to the base.
Soon, Ashaf arrives and explains to Matt that the entire thing might be a set-up, and the real perpetrators are the Executioners, not Helga, who was nothing but framed in the situation. Matt refuses to believe him, but an Executioner who had been faking to help Matt launches a fire-based attack on him and Ashaf, proving Ashaf right.
The episode then focuses on Guideau, Helga, and the Demon Sword. This is when the Sword explains that it can control those who look at it in the eyes. Amid this chaos, the Chief Executioner tries to bind Guideau but to no avail.
Guideau tries to escape with the Demon Sword and Helga. However, a selfless Helga pushes her out of the window when a Paladin troop obstructs her from escaping. She asks Guideau to protect the Demon Sword and rescue her if possible.
