Actor Robert De Niro is once again speaking out against former President Donald Trump, this time calling him a “monster” and a “nasty, hateful person.”
These comments are just the latest amongst the ongoing war between the ‘Goodfellas’ actor and the former President of the United States, as De Niro has made his stance on Trump very clear, with Trump retaliating at one point.
Robert De Niro On Donald Trump: He Is A ‘Monster’
Robert De Niro appeared on a recent episode of ‘Real Time with Bill Maher’ where the Hollywood star, who is not afraid to speak his mind, commented on the upcoming 2024 Presidential Election.
“We wanna live in a world that we want to live in and enjoy living in, or live in a nightmare?” De Niro asked the host of the show. “Vote for Trump and you’ll get the nightmare, vote for Biden and we’ll be back to normalcy.”
“I just don’t want to feel the way I did (and many of us did) the many months after the election in 2016, where we couldn’t believe that it happened,” he continued, “The guy is a total monster and anybody, I don’t understand it, I guess they get behind that kind of logic,” De Niro said, adding, “They want to f–k with people, screw them because they’re unhappy about something.”
Donald Trump Is A ‘Mean, Nasty, Hateful Person’
The actor didn’t hold back as he continued to call Trump a mean, nasty, hateful person,” adding that he would “never play him as an actor because I can’t see any good in him. Nothing.”
“Nothing at all. Nothing redeemable in him,” De Niro continued. “And whoever the people are who want to vote for him, and they look like intelligent people, but for some reason, it can’t be. It can not be.”
Donald Trump is the current front-runner to face the current President, Joe Biden, in the upcoming Presidential Election, but Robert De Niro is urging his fans and Americans to vote Democratic to keep Trump out of office.
“If he wins the election, you won’t be on the show anymore, he’ll come looking for me,” De Niro said as the crowd burst into laughter. “They’ll be things that happen that none of us could imagine,” he added.
“That’s what happens in that kind of a dictatorship, which is what he says, let’s believe him, take him at his word,” the film producer told the host of the show.
Robert De Niro Calls Donald Trump A ‘Narcissist’
Before the interview came to an end, De Niro had some final words for the former President, calling him a “sociopathic, psychopathic, malignant narcissist.”
“The bottom line is Biden’s our guy,” De Niro concluded. “He represents what this country’s supposed to be about.”
This is just the latest in the De Niro vs Trump war as, in the past, the 77-year-old called De Niro a “total loser” one week after De Niro attacked Trump in his speech at the Gotham Awards.
“Robert De Niro, whose acting talents have greatly diminished, with his reputation now shot, must even use a teleprompter for his foul and disgusting language, so disrespectful to our Country,” Trump wrote at the time, adding, “He has become unwatchable both in movies, and with the FOOLS that destroyed the Academy Awards, bringing them from one of the top shows in the Country to a Low Rated afterthought.”
Trump then said the actor “should focus on his life, which is a mess, rather than the lives of others. He has become a total loser, as the World watches, waits, and laughs!”
Fans Back Robert De Niro Following ‘Narcissistic’ Donald Trump Comments
Shortly after Robert De Niro made those comments against Donald Trump, the actor began trending on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, to back the actor.
One X user said, “Wow. Robert De Niro obliterated Donald Trump on Bill Maher’s show. Every single word he said is true. We need more celebrities speaking out against Trump like De Niro has done and continues to do!”
However, another user said De Niro is “CLEARLY having a manic episode,” adding that “the only people buying your bulls–t are the brainwashed sheep in Bill Maher’s audience who are told when to applaud.”
Donald Trump has yet to respond to Robert De Niro’s recent comments.
