#GeorgiaMan is giving #FloridaMan a run for his money! Two Georgia men were recently indicted on federal charges of bombing a woman’s house, threatening to scalp her, and threatening to feed the woman’s daughter to a python back in 2023.

The two Georgia men have been identified as Stephen Glosser, 37, and his roommate Caleb Kinsey, 34, of Richmond Hill. The two were arrested in February 2023 on charges of setting off a homemade bomb at the home of a woman with whom Glosser had a previous relationship. ATF investigators told WTOC that the victim and Glosser previously met on a dating app, but that their relationship had ended.

According to a press release by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Georgia, the two Georgia men put their victim under surveillance from December 2022 to January 2023 “with the intent to kill, injure, harass, or intimidate” her. Investigators said that during this time, the men discussed shooting arrows into her front door, mailing dog feces or dead rats to her home, scalping the woman, and even releasing “a large python into the victim’s home to eat the victim’s daughter.”

Per the indictment, Glosser discovered the woman’s home by searching the web and mapping out a path to her house. Kinsey followed Glosser’s actions by purchasing Tannerite, a brand of binary explosive targets used for firearms practice, online and creating an explosive device at Glosser’s home.

Officials said that on January 13, 2023, the two Georgia men carried part of their plan and used the explosive to blow up the woman’s new home in Richmond Hill, Georgia. Reportedly, the woman and her daughter had moved into the home just one day before the explosion. Fortunately, no one was injured in the explosion. Bryan County Sheriff Mark Crowe told WTOC, “It was a deliberate act. It could have easily hurt or killed somebody. The lady was very lucky she was as far away from the blast that she was … on the other end of the house.”

According to Georgia’s Office of Commissioner of Insurance and Safety Fire, on that day, Bryan County emergency services responded to a call about an explosion at a residence on Demeries Lake Court in Richmond Hill at 5 a.m. Upon arrival, a multi-agency investigation was launched and officials learned the cause of the explosion was an “IED comprised of a binary explosive compound.”

The two Georgia men were eventually arrested in connection with the house bombing and for threatening to scalp the woman, and feed her daughter to a python. Kinsey had fled the state and was arrested in Louisiana, while Glosser was arrested locally.

On Thursday (March 7), the two Georgia men were indicted on multiple federal charges related to the house bombing and their alleged plot, the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Southern District of Georgia announced. The charges included stalking, conspiracy to use an explosive to commit a felony, use of an explosive to commit another felony offense, and possession of an unregistered device. Kinsey was also charged with making false statements during the purchase of a firearm and possession of firearms by a convicted felon.

Glosser and Kinsey remain in custody where they await further court proceedings. Prosecutors reported that, if convicted, the conspiracy charge carries a statutory penalty of up to 20 years in prison, and the charge of using an explosive to commit a felony carries a penalty of an additional 10 years. Furthermore, being that the two Georgia men are facing federal charges, they will not be eligible for parole.
