RHOC OG Vicki Gunvalson is hopeful that she and Tamra Judge can mend their friendship following their public fallout two months ago.
“We’ll be friends. We actually just filmed a couple of nights ago, and she tells me she loves me,” the RHOC alum told Page Six’s “Virtual Reali-Tea” podcast on Sunday at DIRECTV’s Streaming with the Stars party in Beverly Hills.
“I don’t think we ever had a verbal falling out,” she noted before revealing that Tamra Judge told her she took a step back from their friendship because she was “hurt” over rumors she heard.
Tamra previously claimed that she heard Vicki Gunvalson and Shannon Beador were talking about her behind her back.
However, RHOC OG insists that she “didn’t do anything” to hurt Tamra.
“I think that time will tell if it’s real or not,” she continued.
In fact, Vicki believes that her friendship with Tamra was put on “pause” after Shannon’s arrest for DUI and hit-and-run last September.
Vicki says that Tamra did not want to “condone drinking” during their Tres Amigas live show tour. Despite agreeing to “change the words” in one song, which talked about drinking tequila, Tamra still quit the group.
“I’ve never condoned drinking and driving,” Vicki said, adding “I just would never do that to my group. You’re a group, you’re a friend, you back each other, you do the right thing, you show up when you have a show planned.”
Because of Tamra’s exit, Shannon and Vicki have been forced to “redo their show” with “all new music” before starting the second half of their live show tour.
“We’ve got a lot still in the mix. It’s unfortunate that Tamra decided to pause herself. We’ll see what happens. As the shows go on, I think she might have a little bit of [fear of missing out],” she continued.
The RHOC OG also explained that she and Shannon have come to terms with Tamra’s decision and have figured out how to “move on without her.”
“If someone doesn’t want to do something, we move on, but it’s definitely going to be different without her on, and we’ve always been the Tres Amigas, so now it’s like Dos Amigas,” she said.
Before wrapping up the interview, Vicki touched on Shannon’s 2023 arrest, noting that her friend “make a mistake,” noting that people “have to be able to move on from it.”
“I think that for Tamra, it was a little too soon –– right or wrong –– and I just feel like we had a commitment as a group, so it’s kinda like the band breaking up,” she added.
While Vicki doesn’t support Shannon’s decision to drink and drive, she tried her best to “not turn my back” on her throughout the ordeal.
“I have to be there because I would want them to be there for me if something, God forbid, happened,” she said. “It was an accident, she totally messed up, and I don’t condone it, but she’s taking accountability for it and moving on.”
In January, the RHOC stars made headlines when Vicki and Tamra went at each other on social media.
Tamra later accused Vicki and Shannon of being jealous of her success beyond RHOC. She also claims to have caught them talking about her behind her back.
Since then Shannon and Tamra have returned to RHOC for season 18. Vicki has also been spotted filming for season 18 despite noting being an official cast member. It’s unclear if Shannon and Tamra have made any headway in repairing their fractured friendship.
