RHOC alum Kelly Dodd and her husband, Rick Leventhal are coming to Teresa Giudice and Louie Ruelas’ defense following the shocking claims about their marriage in the RHONJ season 14 trailer.
While chatting with The U.S. Sun, Kelly Dodd’s husband, Rick Leventhal, brought up that he’s friends with Louie Ruelas, the husband of RHONJ OG Teresa Giudice.
Rick mentioned that he will be catching up with the RHONJ couple in April at the launch party for Louie’s new creator platform in Los Angeles.
During the chat, Rick insisted that Teresa Giudice and Louie Ruelas are NOT having financial problems despite the claims made in the RHONJ season 14 reunion trailer.
According to Rick, “everything is fine” between the Real Housewives of New Jersey couple.
“I saw the trailer and I actually talked to Louie about it,” Rick explained. “To me, it’s just they need drama to get people to watch, so I think they try to drum things up, they try to stir things up.”
He continued: “But, basically [Louie] said everything’s fine. They’re doing great.”
“She makes a lot of money, so does he. Good for them,” Kelly Dodd added.
These statements from Kelly and Rick, match reports claiming that fans shouldn’t be concerned about Teresa and Louie’s marriage after watching the season 14 trailer.
In fact, a source close to Teresa Giudice and Louie Ruelas insists that they have never been better as a couple.
Meanwhile, another source backs up these claims, telling Page Six, “Teresa and Louie are amazing and very happy in their love bubble.”
Earlier this month, Bravo dropped the Real Housewives of New Jersey season 14 trailer. Teresa and Louie’s marriage took a major hit in the trailer, with numerous co-stars making shocking allegations about the couple.
“Teresa is distraught because in the house, there’s not a lot of calm,” Danielle Cabral alleged, while Jennifer Aydin added, “Every time I talk to her, her stomach is in knots.”
The trailer then cuts to a clip of Teresa walking with her husband, Louie Ruelas.
“She’s not doing great,” said co-star Dolores Catania.
Then an unidentified voice coming from a phone tells Margaret Josephs‘ husband, Joe Beningo, that allegedly “Louie pissed her money away.”
The trailer then transitions to an argument between Louie and Teresa. “I want it to be better,” he said, as the Real Housewives of New Jersey OG fired back, “It’s not going to be better. I don’t want to talk about it.”
However, sources insist this all is just another case of clever Bravo editing.
After the season 14 trailer dropped, TMZ noted: “Time will tell what’s true or not … remember, these promos/trailers always wanna make something seem more dramatic than it is — and they definitely succeeded in this case.”
