A source claimed Chelsea Lazkani believes her husband Jeff Lazkani was “unfaithful” in their marriage, and his alleged cheating caused her to file for divorce.
The Selling Sunset star reportedly cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the filing, though it now seems there’s more to the story.
“Chelsea believes Jeff was unfaithful in their marriage and that is why she filed for divorce,” claimed an insider in an interview with Us Weekly. “The divorce has been looming for weeks now and she decided to abruptly file. She is completely devastated right now and is especially upset for her the sake of their children.”
According to the source, Chelsea thinks his cheating “had been going on for months” before her decision to file.
“She had suspected the cheating for a while and wanted to catch him in the act before filing,” said the insider. “She finally had enough and decided to file this week, but it was a long time coming. She is still in the house with their kids. She wants him to stay out of the house, and they are not on speaking terms.”
According to a 2022 interview with Vogue, Chelsea first connected with Jason Oppenheim’s real estate agency through Jeff.
“I knew Jason through my husband and I said to him, ‘What do I have to do?’” she said at the time. “You kind of see how it played out on screen. I wasn’t sure whether I was going to get in or not.”
A month ago, Chelsea wrote an Instagram post that (fans now believe) hinted at her marital problems.
“Life has been kicking my ass recently, so here’s some photos from when it wasn’t xx,” she wrote in the caption. None of the photos included Jeff.
