Now that Jax Taylor has a new reality TV show with Bravo’s The Valley, he has no issue taking swipes at the reality show that made him famous – Vanderpump Rules. Get all the tea!
Former Vanderpump Rules star Jax Taylor claims that the show is “scripted” despite the series being completely “organic” in its early seasons.
The 44-year-old was overheard ranting about how the Pump Rules cast doesn’t “even hang out with each other” in real life at his bar, Jax’s Studio City, by TikToker Kate Riccio.
“Show me a scripted show, and I’ll show you f—king ‘Vanderpump Rules,’” the 44-year-old told patrons at Jax’s Studio City in a video obtained by Page Six. “Scripted! Scripted! I’ve been on this show for nine f—king years … this is scripted.”
He then went on to call Tuesday’s episode of Pump Rules ”disastrous.”
“I’ll be on it next, and I’ll tell you what, it was scripted,” he continued before claiming that the show didn’t used to be that way.
“Don’t get me wrong, when we started, it was awesome,” he clarified. “Seasons one through six [were] organic; it was real.”
Jax explained that at the beginning of the series, everyone took it seriously because it was their “job” and what they “loved to do.”
However, as they became rich and famous, they drifted apart, and their friendship became “fake” for the sake of the show.
“Nobody shows up [with] Chanel earrings on at the beach,” he joked.
He then praised his new show, The Valley, saying, “Now you have a real show! Back to where it all started, it’s organic, it’s real. These are all brand new people!”
