Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright celebrated their son Cruz‘s birthday over the weekend amid their months-long separation.
As their marriage issues continue to play out on their Vanderpump Rules spinoff, The Valley, Jax, 44, and Brittany, 35, put their differences aside to enjoy their child’s party, which they described as “perfect,” despite Jax seemingly knocking down a cake table — and destroying Cruz’s dinosaur-themed cake.
In an Instagram Story shared by Brittany’s longtime friend and co-star Zack Wickham, via Queens of Bravo, Brittany was seen holding Cruz as she and her estranged spouse prepared to blow out his candle. But before they could do so, Jax appeared to put too much pressure on the table, causing it to collapse and leading the cake to tumble over.
“Never a dull moment,” Zack wrote in the caption of his clip.
In another Instagram post, shared jointly by Jax and Brittany, they reflected on their son’s big day and thanked the vendors they used while also showcasing a number of moments from the bash.
“Cruz’s 3-Rex party was a SMASH!” they began. “Thanks so much to everyone that came out to celebrate our little guy! He had a fabulous time and it was a perfect day full of memories that will last forever!”
“Special thanks to our party planners & vendors that made this day so special!” they added.
Also over the weekend, Jax honored son Cruz with a tribute post.
“Happiest of birthdays to my special little man, mommy and daddy love you so much and we are so proud of you. You are the best thing to happen to both of us and we love watching you grow every day. I am beyond blessed to be your dad you are the kindest, happiest little boy on the planet you amaze me every day. Having you for a son has been the greatest gift life has given me. For all that you have been, for all that you are, and for all that you have yet to be. I always be by your side for the rest of my life. Thank you for making me a dad. I love you son, Happy 3 birthday!” Jax wrote.
After the post was shared, Jax received a number of comments from his fans and followers, many of whom encouraged him and Brittany to work out their marital issues.
“Stay together Jax and make it work. Please,” one person said in a post “liked” by Jax.
Jax also “liked” a message that said, “You and [Brittany Cartwright] made a pretty cute little baby. I hope you both can work things out and expand your family. He is precious.”
The Valley season one airs Tuesdays at 9/8c on Bravo.
