2024 Record Store Day ambassadors Paramore are releasing their cover of Talking Heads’ “Burning Down the House” on side B of a limited 12-inch vinyl for the occasion. Side A will feature a new cover from David Byrne of their After Laughter track “Hard Times,” and that cover has now emerged on streaming services for the first time.
“Paramore recorded an amazing version of ‘Burning Down The House’ for a Stop Making Sense covers album that A24 is doing in connection with the re-release of the film,” Byrne wrote with the announcement of the cover. “That song is out now. The band told me that their song ‘Hard Times’ was inspired by Talking Heads, so I learned it and recorded my version of their great song with a horn section. This was fun!”
