I’ve got a fascinating video here for you to watch from Corridor Crew that explores a visual effects invention from Disney that was lost.
The description for the video reads, “Four years ago, we learned about Disney’s magic prism that created the best transparency mattes. We thought that prism was lost… until we found it.”
The video starts out asking the question, “Do you feel that the visual effects in old movies were better?” It then dives into the technology that Disney was using for some of their earlier films and how it managed to pull off certain things back then that you couldn’t do today.
This video is filled with incredibly interesting insight, stuff I never knew before, and I loved what I learned from it!
