Melissa Gorga called out Chanel Ayan after seeing that the Real Housewives of Dubai cast member had dissed her while promoting the upcoming second season of her show.
After Chanel, 45, and her castmates were seen in a season two promo, which featured them describing their newest co-star, Taleen Marie, the 45-year-old Real Housewives of New Jersey star reacted to Chanel’s shady comment with a couple of posts on Instagram.
“She reminds me of Melissa Gorga. So she is to be watched,” Chanel said of Taleen in the April 20 clip from Bravo TV.
Following the sharing of the clip, Melissa clapped back at Chanel in a couple of comments.
“Wait what? Why does this woman always have my name in her mouth?” she asked in her first post, as seen in a screenshot shared by Everything Housewives on Instagram.
Then, with a second message, Melissa reacted to Chanel mispronouncing her last name.
“MeLISSA GORRRRGGAAAAAA let’s get it right girlfriend,” she demanded.
Also reacting to Chanel’s diss were several fans.
“Girl the best compliment is to be like Melissa GORGEOUS,” one person wrote.
“Comparing to Melissa Gorga makes me want to watch less,” said another.
“Chanel with the shade!” wrote a third. “Thanks for the heads up Chanel.”
While it is unclear where Chanel’s beef with Melissa began, it may have something to do with her closeness to Melissa’s estranged sister-in-law, Teresa Giudice, 51, whose August 2022 wedding she attended.
As RHONJ fans well know, Melissa and Teresa feuded on and off for many years before officially cutting ties with one another last year amid filming on season 13. They didn’t even film together for the upcoming 14th season, which caused an understandable divide amongst the cast.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey season 14 premieres Sunday, May 5, at 8/7c on Bravo, and The Real Housewives of Dubai season two premieres Sunday, June 2, at 9/8c.
