Some older photos from the set of Captain America: Civil War have resurfaced online and are making the rounds. They feature Tom Holland wearing the original practical Spider-Man suit, and they have fans talking.
Some fans think that this original practical suit was a better design than the CG version that ended up being used in the film.
There are some significant differences between the practical suit and the CGI suit. For example, the web lines on Spidey’s suit are much darker and far more pronounced. The chest logo is also completely different.
Regardless of the suit design, looking back on that moment… it’s pretty incredible that we finally got to see Spider-Man fight alongside The Avengers! No one thought that would ever happen, and it did!
Spider-Man was added to the film in the late stages of production so when Marvel got the green light to put Spider-Man in the movie the suit they threw him in was obviously something temporary until they finalized the design.
