Jennifer Lopez Struggles To Walk In Tight Sheer Met Gala Dress

Jennifer Lopez had all eyes on her tonight as her 2024 Met Gala look quickly made headlines. The 54-year-old singer is one of the co-chairs of this year’s event, and she showed up in style. Dropping jaws on the red carpet at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, JLo flaunted her famous curves as she honored this year’s Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion event, where the dress code is The Garden of Time. While co-chair Zendaya went lavish in a fruit-accent, fishtail gown, Lopez opted for a more classic look, channeling shimmery leaf aspects via her structured couture dress. That said, a moment did see the “Jenny From The Block” hitmaker struggling to walk.

Choosing designer Schiaparelli for her silvery, strapless, and sheer dress, JLo highlighted her hourglass curves in a jewel-encrusted, floor-length gown complete with a glamorous train. Wispy aspects at the chest formed shoulder detailing as the pop sensation flaunted her sculpted torso, with the woven embellishments working their way toward her stomach before channeling their way to the ground.

Dazzling in her couture number as she rocked Tiffany & Co. jewels, JLo peeped her toned calves via a small slit, one also affording a view of her cream-colored, satin platform heels. Going leafy with her necklace and wearing her locks swept up, the Hustlers actress kept her dewy makeup discreet, opting out of her usual bold lip stain as she sent out a demure energy.

There was, however, a mishap. Footage showed the starlet posing with her satin clutch purse and then starting to walk, but it wasn’t proving easy. Teetering around and nearly losing her footing on account of the sweeping dress train behind her, JLo luckily saw one assistant come to the rescue as he re-arranged the train around her feet.

Fans, who couldn’t wait to see Jen hit the red carpet, spent much of Monday afternoon posting throwback Met looks of their favorite star. In 2018, the mom of two turned heads with her cross-themed dress as she rocked the highest-ever leg slit while modeling her Balmain dress. Again, she chose luxury jeweler Tiffany & Co. for her accessories.

This year sees JLo as co-chair, joining fellow chairs Bad Bunny, Chris Hemsworth, Zendaya, plus Vogue OG Anna Wintour. The event has also so far welcomed the likes of model Ashley Graham, actress Sarah Jessica Parker, sitcom favorite Mindy Kaling, plus a very pregnant Lea Michele.

While the fashionistas gushed over Lopez’s look, others noted that husband Ben Affleck was not by her side. The actor is said to be filming in L.A., but everyone has read the headlines hinting at trouble in paradise between the 2022-married couple.
