RHONJ’s Frank Catania doesn’t believe that Melissa Gorga and Teresa Giudice will make peace and end their long-running feud anytime soon.
“It’s a shame because myself and Brittany [Mattessich] and Dolores and Paulie [Connell] are in the middle. We’re in the middle where we get along with everybody.”
“But unfortunately, there are certain people who can’t be in a room together,” Frank told The U.S. Sun.
As for how he copes with filming RHONJ amid the cast divide, Frank said: “I’m so high-strung, and I realize when filming Housewives, you definitely need something to take the edge off.”
“I wish everybody else on the show would take some [cannabis], and then maybe we can all get along and be happy,” he spilled.
“I think last year our most highly rated episode was [when] we had guys night where we all got stoned. That’s because it’s fun.
“It’s not like drinking. You drink, you get in a fight, everybody’s pissed off. When you get stoned, everybody’s happy.”
When it comes to the future of the RHONJ franchise, Frank doubles down, noting that Teresa and Melissa are “never going to get along” and that the cast’s division will continue to grow.
“I got to be honest with you, unfortunately, I don’t see any change,” Frank shared.
“I wish there was a change. And people come up to me all the time, ‘Oh my God, is that real?’ And I say, ‘Unfortunately, it is real,’” he said.
“I wish they would get along, but my opinion is if the show is here, they’re never gonna get along. As long as the show is here, they’re never going to get along.”
Andy Cohen has made it crystal clear that there will be a casting shakeup for season 15 of RHONJ as “it isn’t a sustainable universe to have kind of two camps on the show,” referring to “Team Teresa” and “Team Melissa.”
Team Teresa consists of Jennifer Aydin and Jackie Goldschneider, while Team Melissa consists of Margaret Josephs, Rachel Fuda, and Danielle Cabral.
Co-stars Dolores Catania and Jennifer Fessler remain neutral and are friends with the women of both teams.
