Professional wrestler Seth Rollins has stepped into the spotlight of Hollywood’s Marvel Cinematic Universe. Last month, Rollins was spotted on the set of the upcoming Marvel Studios movie Captain America: Brave New World. At the time, Marvel fans assumed that Rollins would be playing a member of the villainous Serpent Society.
Hollywood insider CanWeGetSomeToast has confirmed that Seth Rollins has indeed been cast in Captain America: Brave New World. According to the scooper, Rollins will be playing Cobra, a key member of the notorious Serpent Society.
A supervillain known for his speed and agility, Cobra seems a fitting role for Seth Rollins, given his illustrious WWE career. His athleticism and on-screen persona are likely to bring a new dimension to the character, who made his comic book debut in the pages of 1963’s Journey into Mystery #98.
Captain America: Brand New World sees Antony Mackie returning to the role of Sam Wilson following the events of the Disney Plus series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. The series ended with Wilson taking up the mantle of Captain America in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
