Kenya Moore’s ex Marc Daly is reportedly demanding that the Real Housewives of Atlanta star follow through with a partial settlement agreement they allegedly reached amid their contentious divorce. He also is asking that the trial remain sealed.
Although Kenya filed for divorce in 2021, the date of separation was allegedly September 19, 2019. Both parties have made accusations against the other as they now head for trial, scheduled later this month.
According to Radar Online, Marc rushed to court to demand Kenya follow through with a partial settlement agreement.
Per court docs from the outlet, Marc alleged he and Kenya reached the “partial settlement agreement and permanent parenting plan” after 7.5 hours of mediation in May of this year.
Marc claimed his ex did not sign these settlement documents, though her attorney received them from the mediator. He also alleged that Marc and the mediator have both signed.
The ex indicated that Kenya’s actions “reflect her continued attempt to expand these proceedings,” and he’s asking the court to make Kenya pay his attorney fees.
The outlet previously reported that the exes agreed to give Kenya the primary custody of their daughter, while Marc gets visitation rights.
According to other legal documents from Radar, Marc is seeking that the public not be permitted to see the trial, which begins in June.
He claimed the trial should be sealed as he and Kenya are “celebrity figures,” and Kenya “appears on a television show that airs nationally and internationally.”
“The parties’ relationship status has received a lot of media attention due to [Kenya’s] detailing their private issues on the reality television show she is filming,” said the motion.
Parts of his motion were sealed, as he listed out reasons why Marc believes their trial should stay private. The RHOA star reportedly hasn’t responded to Marc’s request.
