Morgan Wade performed at Lollapalooza over the weekend. And as she spent time with Kyle Richards, 54, amid her rumored separation from husband Mauricio Umansky, 53, the country singer addressed the speculation surrounding the nature of their relationship.
As the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star and her daughter, Farrah Aldjufrie, 34, attended the four-day music festival in Chicago, Morgan, 28, spoke to 103.5 KISS-FM about her “good [friend],” admitting that she no longer minds the rumors because she’s happy to bring light to a “same-sex relationship.”
“It’s been a lot. It’s weird. It’s strange. I’m like, ‘Just leave me alone,’” Morgan began to the radio station. “[But] now it’s like, whatever. We’re good friends and it’s funny.”
After admitting that she was quite annoyed by the controversy surrounding her relationship with Kyle, Morgan said she learned to look at things in a more positive manner.
“I had to look at it [like that] because at first, I was not looking at it that way cuz you wake up one morning and it’s like, all this stuff about you on the internet and I’m not used to that at all. I’m not a reality television star. I like to be left alone to write music. But now, I’m like, people weren’t going to shut up about it and we made this really sweet video and it’s nice to be able to bring that light to a same-sex relationship in country music,” she reasoned. “I’m not mad at that.”
And neither are her fans. In fact, Morgan told the interviewer that she’s heard that “a lot of people” are excited about her new music video for “Fall In Love With Me,” in which the RHOBH cast member stars as her video babe.
“I’m like, ‘If we can make something good out of a gossipy situation, I’m gonna do it,’” she declared.

Earlier this month, after it was revealed that Kyle is producing a documentary about Morgan, which will highlight her career, her personal life, and her health, Kyle sat down with Morgan to discuss her music video for “Fall In Love With Me.”
“If you get on the internet, you see people are obsessed with us being friends and why we’re friends,” Morgan said of herself and Kyle as they sat together on a couch. “We thought it would be kind of a good idea to poke fun at that… Trolling trolls a little bit. The internet’s gonna be popping off about this one I’m sure.”
“If they’re gonna talk, you might as well give them something to talk about,” Kyle replied.
As for Kyle’s status with Mauricio, the two of them admitted they were going through a rough patch in early July but were spotted looking “very cozy” at an Aspen restaurant last week.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 13 is expected to begin airing on Bravo sometime this fall.
