Just days after PEOPLE confirmed that Summer House couple Lindsay Hubbard and Carl Radke officially canceled their November wedding in Mexico, the 37-year-old former Public Relations Specialist broke her silence on the matter.
The Summer House couple got engaged in August 2022 and were planning to tie the knot this fall in Mexico.
On Thursday, Lindsay Hubbard finally spoke out on Instagram for the first time about the split.
Lindsay Hubbard wrote:
I would like to start by saying thank you for allowing me the space and time to process my emotions, heal, and grieve the loss of not only my relationship but my friendship with someone I considered my best friend for 8 years.
The last 2 weeks have been the most heartbreaking and emotional weeks of my life. My entire life and future was ripped out from underneath me, and I’ve had a hard time making sense of it all – with no answers or closure on why. I feel humiliated by how it went down and simultaneously heartbroken that it happened in the first place. My trust has been betrayed, and coming to terms with that has been difficult for me.
This was not my decision, and I do not agree with quitting a relationship (at this level) without trying everything possible first. I have spent the last couple of weeks finding my own closure and peace. I am forever grateful to my best friends who have not left my side and have been picking up the pieces of my heart and life every day from the fallout.
I am still grieving and trying to process all that has happened, but I felt it was important to update you all. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for the love and support from my friends, family, cast mates, and all of you for carrying me through.

Earlier this week, in an email, Carl told friends and family that he and Lindsay had officially called off their engagement and canceled their November wedding.
The 38-year-old apologized for any inconvenience the cancellation caused. Lindsay was reportedly “hurt” and “blindsided” by Carl’s note to their wedding guests.
“Lindsay did not approve of Carl’s letter before it was made public, so there is no ‘we,’” an insider told Page Six. “She’s definitely hurt by it, for sure.”
Lindsay and Carl met in 2016 while filming season one of Summer House. The two quickly became friends and had a brief romance during season 4. They remained friends after their failed attempt at dating. In late 2021, Carl and Lindsay started dating – again and later confirmed their relationship in January 2022.
After one year of dating, Carl proposed to Lindsay with a 4.02-carat Nicole Rose diamond ring in August 2022 at Southhampton’s Dune Beach. The moment was captured on camera for season seven of Summer House.
In August 2023, news broke that Carl broke off his engagement with Lindsay on camera while filming season 8 of Summer House.
Lindsay was “devastated” by Carl calling off their engagement just 2.5 months before they were set to marry in Mexico.
“He did call off the wedding on camera,” a source told Us Weekly. The source adds that it was “so mean” for Carl to break up with Lindsay on camera.
Entertainment Tonight was the first outlet to confirm the news of Carl and Lindsay’s split.
Summer House is expected to return to Bravo for season 8 in 2024.
