Dark Horse Comics presents an exclusive variant of Saint John #1 at Rose City Comic Con

Saint John #1 Variant Cover

Rose City Comic Con 2023 will play host to a brand-new superhero, made just for the city of Portland! Dark Horse Comics, in partnership with groundbreaking clothing brand Portland Gear, presents the Rose City’s own masked marvel in Saint John. Convention-goers can get their hands on the convention exclusive Saint John #1 with variant cover art by series co-creator Brennan Wagner at Dark Horse Booth #701, for $20. Only 500 copies will be available, limited to 5 per person, per day.

Born and raised in the streets of Portland, Oregon, Saint John is unlike any superhero before him, built for the quirks that make the city unique. Cartoonist Dan Schkade (Will Eisner’s The Spirit) and Portland native creator Brennan Wagner (Grendel: Devil’s Odyssey), along with letterer Frank Cvetkovic (Count Crowley), bring to life the vivid, sometimes funky world of the Rose City and the hero destined to keep it safe.

“The pacing feels good, the writing is engaging, and the art is dynamic. And perhaps most importantly, it is memorable. While I don’t think it is a perfect book, this deserves a 5 out of 5-star review, as I can’t think of what advice I would give to improve it.”—MajorSpoilers.

Stop by Dark Horse Comics Booth (#701) at Rose City Comic Con September 22-24 for a chance to get your copy of Saint John #1 signed by Portland Gear’s Marcus Harvey and series co-creator Brennan Wagner Sunday, September 24, 4:00-4:45 PM! The creators will also present a panel where they discuss the series, Sunday, September 24, 12:00 PM.

See more signings, panels, and other details in our signing schedule and programming schedule.
