Quite a few viewers have been enjoying My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3 in the theaters, but some fans have been waiting to find out when the film will leave cinemas. Here’s what we know about when MBFGW3 will leave movie theaters.
When will My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3 stop being shown in movie theaters?
My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3 is expected to play in theaters until October 5, 2023.
At the time of writing, the date when My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3 will be pulled out of theaters hasn’t been announced. It has opened nationwide across 3,650 theaters. But it only made $10 million domestically on its opening weekend and added just $4 million in the second one. (via EW) So, we might see it follow a four-week theatrical run that’s common with most low-budget, lower-grossing films.
If you wish to watch the film in cinemas, you should plan for the last week of September or the first week of October. Following that, the number of screens playing the film might drop significantly. Many theaters could pull it out to add slots for other upcoming films such as Saw X and The Exorcist: Believer.
It’s worth mentioning that My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3 is expected to get its digital release in late September 2023. From that point onwards, it will be available to watch in theaters and rent from online platforms such as Amazon and iTunes simultaneously. However, its streaming release date might take a while to be announced.
My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3 stars John Corbett, Elena Kampouris, Louis Mandylor, Andrea Martin, Maria Vacratsis, Gia Carides, Elias Kavacas, Joey Fatone and Melina Kotselou.
