As the famous saying goes, “Play stupid games, win stupid prizes…” Unfortunately Nicki Minaj’s husband Kenneth Petty had to learn that lesson after he was ordered to house arrest over his recent childish actions.
As many are aware, Kenneth and his friends filmed themselves making threats to Cardi B’s husband Offset after the VMAs. As a result of boasting online about what they planned to do to the rappers, a federal judge in Los Angeles ordered him to serve house arrest after violating the terms of his three-year probation. As noted by legal affairs journalist Meghann Cuniff, Petty’s officer and judge did not need an outside report/complaint to act on this. In the docs filed Wednesday state that Mr. Petty was “making threatening remarks towards a specific individual while in the company of someone with a criminal record.”
His probation officer “believes placement in the Location Monitoring Program will effectively allow for closer monitoring of Mr. Petty’s activities, limit his movements, provide a sanction for his non-compliance, and hopefully encourage him to reflect upon and reevaluate his current status in the community.” According to the docs, Petty agreed to the modification terms and waived a personal appearance before the court. As it was previously reported, Petty was sentenced to three years probation in July 2022 after pleading guilty to failing to register as a sex offender in the state of California in 2020. This all stems from his 1995 incident where he was convicted of the first-degree attempted rape of a 16-year-old girl and spent four years in prison in New York.

Just hours after the viral live with Petty and his crew was posted, Offset made a video himself laughing at the threats. While leaving his jet as he landed in Colorado to hang with Deion Sanders, Offset filmed himself saying, “these Niggas broke,” while laughing. The Migos rapper didn’t give any more energy to it and continued to enjoy his time with Coach Prime.
Furthermore, Offset has been using his time and energy to spread love to his friends and family… especially his wife Cardi B.
They recently celebrated their anniversary together and shared sweet moments from their celebration online with their fans. In a heartwarming post, Offset wrote, “Happy anniversary my beautiful Gorgeous Pretty Wife.
